TEDDIURSA

This is next Pokémon on the LONG “To Do” list that my daughter gave to me at Christmas time.  She describes Teddiursa as a huggable teddy bear.  This pattern includes the color lists for both Teddiursa and Shiny Teddiursa. 

MATERIALS:
Worsted Weight Yarn (Shiny color substitute in parenthesis):  Burnt pumpkin (Spring green), pale yellow, white and black.
E crochet hook
Polyester fiberfill
Yarn Needle

BODY:
Rd 1: With burnt pumpkin, 6 sc in magic ring.  (6)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.  (12)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (18)
Rd 4: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (24)
Rd 5: (sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (30)
Rd 6: (sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (36)
Rd 7: (sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (42)
Rds 8-14: sc in each sc around.  (42)
Rd 15: (sc in next 5 sc, sc2tog) around.  (36)
Rd 16: (sc in next 4 sc, sc2tog) around.  (30)

STUFF BODY FIRMLY.
Rd 37: sc2tog around.  (9)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Weave tail through sc of Rd 37, pull tightly and secure.  Weave in ends.

TOENAILS AND FINGERNAILS (MAKE 10):
Rd 1: With white, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook working around ch.  (4)
Rd 2: sc in each sc around.  (4)
Finish off.  Weave in ends.

ARMS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With burnt pumpkin, ch 5, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across.  (4)
Rd 2: Working in free loops of foundation ch, holding next ch on ARMS and next 2 sc on first FINGERNAILS together and working through both thicknesses, sc in next 2 sc, holding next ch on ARMS and first sc on second FINGERNAILS together and working through both thicknesses, sc in next 2 sc, holding next ch on ARMS and first 2 sc on third FINGERNAILS together and working through both thicknesses, sc in next 2 sc, working in sc of Rd 1, holding next sc on ARMS and next 2 sc on third FINGERNAILS together and working through both thicknesses, sc in next 2 sc, holding next sc on ARMS and next sc on second FINGERNAILS together and working through both thicknesses, sc in next 2 sc, holding next sc on ARMS and next 2 sc on first FINGERNAILS together and working through both thicknesses, sc in next 2 sc.  (12)

Rd 1: With pale yellow, ch 8, 2 sc in second ch from hook, sc in next 5 ch, 3 sc in next ch working around ch, working in free loops of foundation ch, sc next 6 ch.  (16)  Change to burnt pumpkin.
Rd 2: 2 sc in next 2 sc, sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next 3 sc, sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc.  (22)
Rd 3: sc in next 10 sc, holding next sc on FEET and first sc on TOENAILS together and working through both thicknesses, sc in next 2 sc, sc in next sc on FEET, holding next sc on FEET and first sc on TOENAILS together and working through both thicknesses, sc in next 2 sc, sc in next 7 sc on FEET.  (22)
Rd 4: sc in next 10 sc, sc in next 2 sc on TOENAILS, sc in next sc on FEET, sc in next 2 sc on TOENAILS, sc in next 7 sc on FEET.  (22)

TAIL:

Rds 4-6: sc in each sc around.  (18)

STUFF TAILS FIRMLY.
Rd 8: sc2tog around.  (6)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Weave tail through sc of Rd 8, pull tightly and secure.  Sew TAIL to BODY.  Weave in ends.

MUZZLE:
Rd 1: With pale yellow, ch 8, 2 sc in second ch from hook, sc in next 5 ch, 3 sc in next ch working around ch, working in free loops of foundation ch, sc in next 6 ch.  (16)
Rd 2: 2 sc in next 2 sc, sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next 3 sc, sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc.  (22)

MOON:
Rw 1: With white, ch 13, sc in second ch from hook, sc in next ch, 2 sc in next 2 ch, 2 hdc in next 4 ch, 2 sc in next 2 ch, sc in next 2 ch.
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew MOON to BODY.  Weave in ends.

NOSE:
Rd 1: With black, ch 3, 2 sc in second ch from hook, 3 sc in next ch working around ch, working in free loops of foundation ch, sc in next sc, slip st in first sc.  (6)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew NOSE to MUZZLE.  Weave in ends.

EYES (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With black, 6 sc in magic ring.  (6)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew EYES to HEAD.  Weave in ends.  Using white, embroider highlights on EYES.

EARS (MAKE 2):
INNER EARS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With black, 8 sc in magic ring.  (8)
Finish off.  Weave in ends.
OUTER EARS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With burnt pumpkin, 8 sc in magic ring.  (8)
Rd 2: Holding INNER EARS and OUTER EARS together and working through both thicknesses, 2 sc in each sc around.  (16)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (24)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew EARS to BODY.
