MISDREAVUS

Misdreavus is a Ghost Pokemon that has been on a VERY LONG “To Do” list that my daughter gave me two Christmas’ ago.  Like most on the list, it took a customer on Etsy to request it for me to finally check this one off her list.  This pattern includes the color lists for both Misdreavus and Shiny Misdreavus.

MATERIALS:
Worsted Weight Yarn (Shiny color substitute in parenthesis):  Navy blue (Olive green), magenta (golden yellow), red, yellow, black, and white.
E crochet hook
Polyester fiberfill
Yarn Needle

SHORT HAIRS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With magenta, 6 sc in magic ring.  (6)
Rd 2: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (8)
Rds 3-4: sc in each sc around.  (8)
Rd 5: (sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (10)
Rd 6: sc in each sc around.  (10)  Change to navy blue.
Rds 7-12: sc in each sc around.  (10)
Finish off.  Weave in ends.  Stuff SHORT HAIRS firmly.

LONG HAIRS (MAKE 4):
Rd 1: With magenta, 6 sc in magic ring.  (6)
Rd 2: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (8)
Rds 3-4: sc in each sc around.  (8)
Rd 5: (sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (10)
Rd 6: sc in each sc around.  (10)  Change to navy blue.
Rds 7-20: sc in each sc around.  (10)
Finish off.  Weave in ends.  Stuff LONG HAIRS firmly.

HEAD:
Rd 1: With navy blue, 6 sc in magic ring.  (6)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.  (12)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (18)
Rd 4: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (24)
Rd 5: (sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (30)
Rd 6: (sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (36)
Rd 7: (sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (42)
Rd 8: (sc in next 13 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (45)
Rd 9: holding next sc on HEAD and first sc on SHORT HAIR together and working through both thicknesses, sc in next 5 sc, (sc in next 3 sc on HEAD, holding next sc on HEAD and first sc on LONG HAIR together and working through both thicknesses, sc in next 5 sc) 4 times, sc in next 3 sc on HEAD, holding next sc on HEAD and first sc on SHORT HAIR together and working through both thicknesses, sc in next 5 sc.
Rd 10: sc in next 5 sc on SHORT HAIR, (sc in next 3 sc on HEAD, sc in next 5 sc on LONG HAIR) 4 times, sc in next 3 sc on HEAD, sc in next 5 sc on SHORT HAIR, slip st in first sc.  (45)
Rd 11: Ch 1, sc in each sc around, slip st in first sc.  (45)
Rds 12-16: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc around, slip st in first sc.  (45)
Rd 17: Ch 1, turn; (sc in next 13 sc, sc2tog) around.  (42)
Rd 18; (sc in next 5 sc, sc2tog) around.  (36)
Rd 19: (sc in next 4 sc, sc2tog) around.  (30)
Rd 20: (sc in next 3 sc, sc2tog) around.  (24)
Rd 21: (sc in next 2 sc, sc2tog) around.  (18)
Rd 22: (sc in next sc, sc2tog) around.  (12)
STUFF HEAD FIRMLY.
Rd 23: Working in back loops only, sc2tog around.  (6)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Weave tail through sc of Rd 23, pull tightly and secure.  Weave in ends.

BODY:
Rd 1: Working in front loops of Rd 22, 2 sc in each sc around, slip st in first sc.  (24)
Rd 2: Ch 2, (dc in next 2 sc, dc in back loops of next 2 sts, dc in front loops of previous sts, dc around post of 2 sts.  When done you should be going in the original direction) 6 times, slip st in first dc.
Rds 3-5: Ch 2, dc in each dc around, slip st in first dc.
Finish off.  Weave in ends.

NECKLACE JEWEL 1:
Rd 1: With red, 8 sc in magic ring.  (8)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.  (16)
Rds 3-4: sc in each sc around.  (16)
STUFF NECKLACE JEWEL 1 FIRMLY.
Rd 5: sc2tog around.  (8)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Weave tail through sc of Rd 5, pull tightly and secure.  Weave in ends.

NECKLACE JEWEL 2 (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With red, 5 sc in magic ring.  (5)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.  (10)
Rds 3-4: sc in each sc around.  (10)
STUFF NECKLACE JEWEL 3 FIRMLY.
Rd 5: sc2tog around.  (5)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Weave tail through sc of Rd 5, pull tightly and secure.  Weave in ends.

NECKLACE JEWEL 3 (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With red, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook working around ch.  (4)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.  (8)
Rd 3: sc in each sc around.  (8)
STUFF NECKLACE JEWEL 3 FIRMLY.
Rd 4: sc2tog around.  (4)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Weave tail through sc of Rd 4, pull tightly and secure.  Weave in ends. Weave NECKLACE JEWELS onto a piece of navy-blue yarn and sew to MISDREAVUS.  Weave in ends.

EYES AND MOUTH:
Embroider EYES and MOUTH onto HEAD of MISDREAVUS.
