KABUTO

This is another Pokemon that was not on my list to make.  Kabuto is one of the most difficult to get in the game along with one of the most useless Pokemon in the game until you get him evolved.  This pattern includes the color lists for Kabuto and Shiny Kabuto.

MATERIALS:
Worsted Weight Yarn (Shiny colors in parenthesis):  Black, café latte (spring green), rose, baby pink, and gold.
E crochet hook
Polyester fiberfill
Yarn Needle

BODY:
Rd 1: With black, 6 sc in magic ring.  (6)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.  (12)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (18)
Rd 4: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (24)
Rd 5: (sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (30)
Rd 6: (sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (36)
Rd 7: (sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (42)
Rd 8: (sc in next 6 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (48)
Rds 9-12: sc in each sc around.  (48)
Rd 13: (sc in next 6 sc, sc2tog) around.  (42)
Rd 14; (sc in next 5 sc, sc2tog) around.  (36)
Rd 15: (sc in next 4 sc, sc2tog) around.  (30)
Rd 16: (sc in next 3 sc, sc2tog) around.  (24)
Rd 17: (sc in next 2 sc, sc2tog) around.  (18)
Rd 18: (sc in next sc, sc2tog) around.  (12)
STUFF BODY FIRMLY.
Rd 19: sc2tog around.  (6)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Weave tail through sc of Rd 19, pull tightly and secure.  Weave in ends.

SHELL:
Rd 1: With café latte, 6 sc in magic ring.  (6)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.  (12)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (18)
Rd 4: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (24)
Rd 5: (sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (30)
Rd 6: (sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (36)
Rd 7: (sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (42)
Rd 8: (sc in next 6 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (48)
Rd 9: (sc in next 11 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (52)
Rds 10-12: sc in each sc around.  (52)

Finish off.  Weave in ends.  Using black, embroider spots.

EYES (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With rose, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook working around ch.  (4)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.  (8)  Change to baby pink
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (12)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew EYES to BODY.  Weave in ends.

LEGS (MAKE 4):
Rd 1: With gold, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook working around ch.  (4)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.  (8)
Rds 3-7: sc in each sc around.  (8)
STUFF LEGS FIRMLY.
Rd 8: sc2tog around.  (4)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew LEGS to BODY.  Weave in ends.

  1. Hey, commenting on a really old post, I know! Started following your pattern because I'm not good enough to make my own yet and yours was the only I could find that was small and cute and easy to follow, for that thank you so much! However I did modify the legs to give them a small curve. In round 3 I did 2sc and 4 dc (i think that's what's called) follow by 2sc. Did that for another round, and then proceeded with the normal 8 sc :) It came out great! Thank you for the pattern and inspiration!
