FENNEKIN

Fennekin is the Fire starter for Pokemon X and Y.  Fennekin is another Pokemon that was on my daughter’s “To Do” list that she gave me when Pokemon Sun and Moon came out.  She has followed in her father’s footsteps in picking the Fire starter whenever she is playing the game.  Fennekin will also leave Torchic and Chimchar as the only Fire starters that I have not made a pattern for.  This pattern includes the color lists for both Fennekin and Shiny Fennekin.

MATERIALS:
Worsted Weight Yarn (Shiny colors in parenthesis):  Yellow (gray), red, white, and black.
F crochet hook
Fiberfil
Yarn Needle

SPECIAL STITCHES:
Extended sc2tog:  complete a normal sc2tog but insert hook 2 Rds below current Rd.

BODY:
Rd 1: With yellow, 6 sc in magic ring.  (6)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.  (12)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (18)
Rd 4: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (24)
Rd 5: (sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (30)
Rds 6-13: sc in each sc around.  (30)
Rd 14: sc in next 11 sc, (sc2tog, sc in next sc) twice, sc2tog, sc in next 11 sc.  (27)

FRONT LEGS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With yellow, 6 sc in magic ring.  (6)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.  (12)
Rds 3-4: sc in each sc around.  (12)
Rd 5: (sc2tog) twice, sc in next 8 sc.  (10)
Rds 6-10: sc in each sc around.  (10)
Rd 11: 2 sc in next 4 sc, sc in next 6 sc.  (14)
Rds 12-13: sc in each sc around.  (14)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Stuff FRONT LEGS firmly.  Sew FRONT LEGS to BODY.

Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew EAR HAIR to base of EARS.  Weave in ends.

EAR HAIR WINGS (MAKE 2):

Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew EAR HAIR WINGS to EAR HAIR.  Weave in ends.

EYES AND MOUTH:
Embroider EYES and MOUTH on FENNEKIN.

TAIL:
Rd 1: With yellow, 6 sc in magic ring.  (6)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.  (12)
