ARCANINE

This is a Pokemon that I have had on my own personal “To Do” list from the first time that I started making crochet Pokemon patterns.  It took someone ordering one for me to finally make one.  Of course, I made two when I did.  This pattern includes the color list for Arcanine and Shiny Arcanine.

MATERIALS:
Worsted Weight Yarn (Shiny alternative in parenthesis):  Carrot (gold), black, off white, and white.
E crochet hook
Polyester Fiberfil
Tapestry needle

BODY:
Rd 1: With carrot, 9 sc in magic ring.  (9)

NECK FUR:
Fringe on pieces of off white along edge of neck starting at Rd 9.

HEAD AND MAIN:
Fringe on pieces of off white starting at top of head with a point and working in a “V” pattern until you have 10 sc covered in Rd 5 with 5 pieces on each side of round joining.  Have 4 pieces of off white on each side of joining on Rd 6.  Have 3 pieces on each side of joining on Rd 7.  Have 2 pieces of each side of joining from Rd 8 through Rd 19.
