GUNDAM

This item was a request from a correspondent on my Crochet fanatic blog to make a pattern for a Gundam.  I had him send me a picture of the one that he wanted me to design the pattern based on.  Here is the pattern that I came up with.

MATERIALS:
Worsted weight yarn:  White, red, blue, yellow, and black.
E Crochet hook
Polyester fiberfill
Tapestry needle
White chenille stem

ARMS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With black, 6 sc in magic ring.  (6)
Rd 2: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (8)
Rd 3: sc in each sc around.  (8)
Rd 4: slip st in next sc changing to white, ch 1, sc in same sc as slip st, sc in next 7 sc, slip st in first sc changing to black.  (8)
Rd 5: 3 sc in next 2 sc, change to white, sc in next 6 sc, slip st in first sc.  (10)

THIS WOULD BE A GREAT TIME TO ATTACH THE ARMS.  I FED WHITE YARN THROUGH SHOULDER SIDE AND THROUGH SC OF RD 22 ON EACH SIDE OF BODY ATTACHING YARN TO BUTTON INSIDE OF BODY SO THAT THE ARMS CAN ROTATE.

Finish off.  Sew MOHAWK to HELMET with folded end sewn to front sc of Rd 2 and opposite end sewn to Rd 7 on back of HELMET.
Finish off.  Embroider to red block on front of MOHAWK.

FACE MASK:
Rw 1: With white, ch 10, sc in second ch from hook, sc in next 3 ch, change to red, sc in next sc, change to white, sc in next 4 sc.  (9)
Rw 2: Ch 1, turn; sc in next 4 sc, change to red, sc in next sc, change to white, sc in next 4 sc.  (9)

Finish off leaving a long tail.  Embroider black markings on FACE MASK.  Sew FACE MASK to HELMET overlapping FACE MASK 1 sc on each side of FACE MASK.

HELMET SIDE PODS (MAKE 2):

Rws 2-4: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc around.  (4)
Rd 5: Ch 1, sc evenly around outside edge of SIDE PODS.
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew HELMET SIDE PODS to HELMET adding a small amount of stuffing before closing.

ANTENNA:

Finish off leaving a long tail.  Weave in ends.  Sew HELMET WINGS to HLEMET.

CENTER HELMET WING COVER:
Rw 1: With red, ch 2, 2 sc in second ch from hook.  (2)
Rw 2: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across.  (2)
Rw 3: Ch 1, turn; sc2tog. (1)
Rw 4: Ch 1, turn; sc in next sc.  (1)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew CENTER HELMET WING COVER to HELMET over center of HELMET WINGS.
Place HELMET on GUNDAM and sew to secure to head of GUNDAM.

NECK PLATE:
Rw 1: With yellow, ch 4, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across.  (3)
Rw 2: Ch 1, turn; 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc.  (4)
Rw 3: Ch 1, turn; 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 3 sc.  (5)

GIANT LATIAS

I had an Etsy customer ask if I could make a larger version of Latias.  Of course, the one great thing about most of my patterns, is that all I must do is double the number of rounds and number of stitches and you enlarge it.

PHANTUMP

This is the next in a VERY long “to Do” list that my daughters have given me.  Phantump is an interesting combination of Grass and Ghost Pokemon.  Phantump is a Ghost hiding his head in a piece of tree trunk.  This is my pattern for Phantump.  This pattern includes the color list for both Phantump and Shiny Phantump.

KLEFKI

This is the next in a VERY long “to Do” list that my daughters have given me.  They have been asking for Klefki since Pokemon Sun & Moon came out in November last year.  They received the games for Christmas.  Of course, Pokemon Go got them obsessed with Pokemon and it has expanded ever since.  My daughters remind me how my brother was when Pokemon first came out.  This is my pattern for Klefki.  He is from Pokemon X and Y.  Klefki reminds me of a set of keys that you would get for a baby to play with.  This pattern includes the color lists for both Klefki and Shiny Klefki.

MATERIALS:
Worsted Weight Yarn (Shiny colors in parenthesis):  Gray (Yellow—everywhere except on keys), charcoal, black, white (pale yellow), orange (aqua), gold, yellow, and carrot.

PYUKUMUKU
