LITTLE RUBBER DUCKY
My wife is crazy about rubber duckies. She has more than I am going to count. I decided to design a crocheted version of a rubber ducky. When I made the Rubber Ducky, she wanted me to make a little one. Here is the pattern for little rubber ducky.
MATERIALS:
Worsted weight yarn: bright yellow, carrot and black.
E crochet hook
Polyester fiberfill
Tapestry needle
BODY:
Rd 1: With bright yellow, 8 sc in magic ring. (8)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around. (16)
Rd 3: (sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc) 3 times, sc in next sc. (19)
Rds 4-7: sc in each sc around. (19)
Rd 8: (sc in next 4 sc, sc2tog) 3 times, sc in next sc. (16)
Rd 9: sc in each sc around. (16)
Rd 10: sc2tog around. (8)
Stuff BODY at this point.
Rd 11: (sc in next 2 sc, sc2tog) around. (6)
Flatten tail. End with 1 row of sc through both thicknesses. Finish off. Weave in ends.
HEAD:
Rd 1: With bright yellow, 8 sc in magic ring. (8)
Rd 2: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (12)
Rd 3: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (16)
Rds 4-5: sc in each sc around. (16)
Rd 6: (sc in next 2 sc, sc2tog) around. (12)
Rd 7: (sc in next sc, sc2tog) around. (8)
Stuff Head at this point.
Finish off leaving a long tail to close opening and sew HEAD to BODY.
BEAK:
Rd 1: With carrot, 8 sc in magic ring. (8)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around. (16)
Finish off leaving a long tail to sew BEAK to HEAD. Fold BEAK in half and sew to HEAD between the 4th and 5th rounds.
Embroider eyes on HEAD of RUBBER DUCKY.
