LITTLE PURPLE EVIL MINIONS

My wife has been crazy about the Minions from the Despicable Me movie from the moment that she first saw the movie.  When Dreamworks brought out Despicable Me 2, my wife was in cloud nine.  She was already in love with the yellow minions and now there was ones in her favorite color, purple.  This is a little version of the evil Minion.

MATERIALS:
Worsted weight yarn:  purple, navy blue, white, gray, and black.
E and C crochet hook
Polyester fiberfill
Tapestry needle
White craft foam
Craft glue
Black marker

BODY:
Rd 1: With purple, ch 2, 5 sc in second ch from hook working around hook.  (5)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.  (10)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (15)
Rd 4: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (20)
Rd 5: (sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (25)
Rds 6-21: sc in each sc around.  (25)
Rd 22: (sc in next 3 sc, sc2tog) around.  (20)
Rd 23: (sc in next 2 sc, sc2tog) around.  (15)
Rd 24: (sc in next sc, sc2tog) around.  (10)
Stuff BODY at this point.
Rd 25: sc2tog around.  (5)
Finish off.  Weave in ends.

OVERALLS:
Rd 1: With navy blue, ch 2, 5 sc in second ch from hook working around ch.  (5)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.  (10)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (15)
Rd 4: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (20)
Rd 5: (sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (25)
Rd 6: sc in next 12 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 11 sc, 2 sc in next sc.  (27)
Rd 7: sc in each sc around.  (27)
Rw 8: sc in next 9 sc leaving remaining sc unworked.  (9)
Rw 9: Ch 1, turn; sc in next 9 sc, ch 8, slip st on the 4th sc after the flap.  (9)
For next flap, continuing with where you placed the slip st
Rw 8: sc in next 9 sc, ch 1, turn;  (9)
Rw 9: sc in next 10 sts, ch 6, slip st to the edge of the first flap.
Finish off.  Weave in ends.

ARMS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With black and B hook, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook working around ch.  (4)
Rd 2: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (6)
Rds 3-4: sc in each sc around.  (6)  Change to purple.
Rds 5-12: sc in each sc around.  (6)
Stuff ARMS.
Finish off leaving a long tail to sew ARMS to BODY.

LEGS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With black and with B hook, ch 2, 6 sc in second ch from hook working around ch.  (6)
Rd 2: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (9)
Rds 3-5: sc in each sc around.  (9)  Change to navy blue.
Rd 6: sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc.  (11)
Finish off leaving a lon tail to sew LEGS to OVERALLS.  Stuff LEGS.  Sew to OVERALLS.

GOGGLES  (ONE-EYED MINION):
Rd 1: With white, ch 2, 6 sc in second ch from hook working around ch.  (6)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.  (6)  Change to gray.
Rd 3: sc in each sc around.  (6)
Finish off.  Weave in end.  Attach black to side, ch 20, slip st other side of GOOGLES.  With craft foam, cut a circle the same size the white rounds of GOGGLES.  Glue of white rounds.  Use black marker to draw pupil.

GOGGLES (TWO-EYED MINION):
Rd 1: With white, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook working around ch.  (4)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.  (8)  Change to gray.
Rd 3: sc in each sc around.  (8)
Finish off.  Make two and sew them together.  Attach black to side, ch 20, slip st to other side.  With craft foam, cut a circle the same size the white rounds of GOGGLES.  Glue of white rounds.  Use black marker to draw pupil.

HAIR:
Fringe pieces of purple around top of head to create desired hair style.  Not all of the evil minions have the same hair style.

TEETH:
Embroider the TEETH on minion.  Each evil minion has a different TEETH arrangement.
