#292 Shedinja


Shedinja was not as easy Pokemon to figure out.  I had to figure out how to make the halo and attach it.  It took a lot of experimenting.  Wings were another thing that gave me some problems.  I had to figure out how to make the wings look like my reference picture and give them some stability. 

MATERIALS:
Worsted Weight Yarn:  Gray, White, and Khaki
Small amount of Buff and Black yarn
Crochet hook F
Fiberfil
1 white chenille stem (cut in half)
Yarn needle

BODY:
With gray,
Rd 1:               6 sc in magic ring (6)
Rd 2:               2 sc in each sc around (12)
Rd 3:               sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc around (18)
Rd 4:               sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc around (24)
Rd 5-8:            sc in each sc around, changing to black after Rd 8 in last stitch (or the join sl st if joining rounds) (24)
Rd 9:               sc in each sc around, changing to gray in last stitch (or the join sl st if joining rounds) (24)
Rd 10-11:        sc in each sc around, changing to black after Rd 11 in last stitch (or the join sl st if joining rounds) (24)
Rd 12:             sc in each sc around, changing to gray in last stitch (or the join sl st if joining rounds) (24)
Rd 13:             sc in each sc around (24)
Rd 14:             sc in next 4 sc, dec in next 2 sc around (20)
Rd 15:             sc in next 3 sc, dec in next 2 sc around (16)
Begin stuffing at this point, continue stuffing as you progress.
Rd 16:             sc in next 2 sc, dec in next 2 sc around (12)
Rd 17:             sc in next sc, dec in next 2 sc around (8)
Rd 18:             dec in next 2 sc around (4)
F/O leaving a long tail.  Add any stuffing needed to finish out the shape, weave the tail through the last round and pull to close.  Weave in ends.

HEAD:
With Khaki,
Rd 1:               6 sc in magic ring (6)
Rd 2:               2 sc in each sc around (12)
Rd 3:               sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc around (18)
Rd 4:               sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc around (24)
Rd 5-6:            sc in each sc around (24)
Rd 7:               sc in next 9 sc, working in back loops only, sc in next 6 sc, working in both loops now, sc in next 9 sc (24)
Rd 8:               sc in next 2 sc, dec in next 2 sc around (18)
Begin stuffing at this point, continue stuffing as you progress.
Rd 9:               sc in next sc, dec in next 2 sc around (12)
Rd 10:             dec in next 2 sc around (6)
F/O leaving a long tail.  Add any stuffing needed to finish out the shape, weave the tail through the last round and pull to close.  Weave in ends.

NOSE:
With Khaki, working in free loops of Rd 6 of head,
Row 1:            sl st in first loop, ch 1, dec in next 2 sc, sc in next 2 sc, dec in next 2 sc, ch 1, turn (4)
Row 2:            dec in next 2 sc across, ch 1, turn (2)
Row 3:            dec in next 2 sc (1)
F/O weaving in ends.

HORNS (make 2)
With Khaki,
Rd 1:               6 sc in magic ring (6)
Rd 2:               sc in each sc around (6)
F/O leaving a long tail.  Sew to head and weave in ends.

EYES (make 2)
With Buff,
Rd 1:               6 sc in magic ring (6)
Rd 2:               sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc around, changing to black for one of sc in Rd 2. (9)
F/O leaving a long tail.  Sew to head adding any stuffing needed to puff out eyes. Weave in ends.

ARMS (make 2):
With khaki, ch 2
Row 1:            2 sc in second ch from hook, ch 1, turn (2)
Row 2:            2 sc in each sc across, ch 1, turn (4)
Row 3-8:         sc in each sc across, ch 1, turn (4)
Row 9:            dec in next 2 sc across, ch 1, turn (2)
Row 10:          dec in next 2 sc (1)
F/O leaving a long tail.  Sew to body adding any stuffing puff out arm.  Weave in ends.

BOTTOM BUMP:
With Gray, ch 2,
Row 1:            2 sc in second ch from hook, ch 1, turn (2)
Row 2:            2 sc in each sc across, ch 1, turn (4)
Row 3-6:         sc in each sc across, ch 1, turn (4)
Row 7:            dec in next 2 sc across, ch 1, turn (2)

F/O leaving a long tail.  Sew Row 4 to Row to form a tube.  Weave in ends.
Poke one half of white chenille stem through Halo.  Bend Halo to form a ring and twist together.  Use second half of white chenille to connect to Body and secure down.
