NIKE JORDAN 1

This was a request from a co-worker after seeing the pair of slippers that I had made for myself.  These were not easy to make because I had to make a lot of changes to the original pattern to create them.  The original pair of Nike Air Jordan 1 were made in Men’s Size 10.  The pattern can easily to adjusted by changing hook sizes.  They can also be made any combination of colors.

MATERIALS:
Worsted Weight yarn: Red, black and white.
H crochet hook (adjust to change size of the slippers)
1 pair of black shoe laces (54 inches)
Tapestry needle

SOLE:
Rd 1: With white, ch 30, sc in second ch from hook, sc in next 27 ch, 3 sc in next ch working around ch, working in free loops of foundation ch, sc in next 27 ch, 2 sc in next ch.  (60)
Rd 2: sc in next 28 sc, 2 sc in next 3 sc, sc in next 28 sc, 3 sc in next sc.  (65)

NIKE SWOOSH (MAKE 4):
Rw 1: With black, ch 17, 3 dc in third ch from hook, 3 dc in next ch, dc in next 2 ch, hdc in next 4 ch, sc in next 5 ch, slip st in next 2 ch.
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew 2 NIKE SWOOSH to each NIKE HIGH TOP.

INSTEP:
Rw 1: With white, ch 13, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across.  (12)
Rws 2-26: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across.  (12)
Rw 27: Ch 1, turn; sc in next 5 sc, sc2tog, sc in next 5 sc.  (11)

Rw 1: Starting in side of RIGHT TOP WING, holding side of Rw 20 and side of foundation ch of INSTEP together and working through both thicknesses, attach red, ch 2, dc in same Rw as attachment, dc in next 19 Rws of RIGHT TOP WING AND right side of HIGH TOP, sc in next 22 sc of SHOE SIDES, dc in next 20 Rws of left side of HIGH TOP and LEFT TOP WING.
Finish off.  Weave in ends.

LACES:
Weave in end LACES through the section of dc of INSTEP attachment.
