PHANPY

Here is another Pokemon from my daughter VERY long “To Do” list that she gave more than a year ago.  I am just now getting to it because I also having a customer on Etsy requesting Phanpy.  So, of course, I am making two Phanpys at the same time.  This pattern includes the color lists for both Phanpy and Shiny Phanpy.

MATERIALS:
Worsted Weight Yarn:  Light blue, carrot (red), black, white, and rose.
E crochet hook
Polyester Fiberfill
Yarn Needle

BODY:
Rd 1: With light blue, 6 sc in magic ring.  (6)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.  (12)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (18)
Rd 4: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (24)
Rd 5: (sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (30)
Rd 6: (sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (36)
Rd 7: (sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (42)
Rds 8-10: sc in each sc around.  (42)
Rd 11: (sc in next 6 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (48)
Rds 12-16: sc in each sc around.  (48)

UNDERBELLY:
Rw 1: With light blue, ch 9, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across.  (8)
Rws 2-4: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across.  (8)
Finish off leaving a long tail.

TOENAILS (MAKE 4):
Rd 1: With white, 6 sc in magic ring.  (6)
Rd 2: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (8)
Finish off.  Weave in ends.

LEGS (MAKE 4);
Rd 1: With light blue, 6 sc in magic ring.  (6)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.  (12)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (18)
Rd 4: Working in back loops only, sc in next 7 sc, holding next sc on LEGS and first sc on TOENAILS together and working through both thicknesses, sc in next 4 sc, sc in next 7 sc on LEGS.  (18)
Rd 5: sc in next 7 sc, sc in next 4 sc on TOENAILS, sc in next 7 sc on LEGS.  (18)
Rds 6-7: sc in each sc around.  (18)
Finish off.  Stuff LEGS firmly.  Sew LEGS together and to UNDERBELLY.  Sew UNDERBELLY and LEGS to BODY stuffing BODY firmly.

TRUNK AND HEAD:
Rd 1: With light blue, 6 sc in magic ring.  (6)
Rd 2: (sc in next sc, 3 sc in next sc) around, slip st in first sc.  (12)
Rd 3: Working in back loops only, ch 1, sc in each sc around.  (12)
Rds 4-13: sc in each sc around.  (12)
Rd 14: sc in next 7 sc, 2 sc in next 2 sc, 3 sc in next sc, 2 sc in next 2 sc.  (18)
Rd 15: sc in each sc around.  (18)

TRUNK BAND:
Rw 1: With carrot, ch 10, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across.  (9)
Rw 2: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across.  (9)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew TRUNK BAND to TRUNK AND HEAD.

EARS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With light blue, 6 sc in magic ring.  (6)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.  (12)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (18)
Rd 4: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (24)
Rd 5: (sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (30)
Rds 6-8: sc in each sc around.  (30)
Rd 9: (sc in next 3 sc, sc2tog) around.  (24)
Rd 10: sc in each sc around.  (24)
Rd 11: (sc in next 2 sc, sc2tog) around.  (18)

Rws 6-10: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across.  (3)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew EARRINGS to EARS.

TAIL:
Rd 1: With light blue, 6 sc in magic ring.  (6)
Rd 2: sc in each sc around.  (6)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (9)
Rds 4-7: sc in each sc around.  (9)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Stuff TAIL firmly.  Sew TAIL to BODY.

MOUTH AND EYES:
Using black, embroider EYES on PHANPY.  Using white, embroider white highlights on EYES.  Using rose, embroider MOUTH on PHANPY.
