TRICREAMATOPS

This is the next in a series of food-related dinosaurs. This is a triceratops that is dressed to look like a Neapolitan ice cream cone.

MATERIALS:
Worsted weight yarn: Buff, perfect pink, white, and coffee.
D crochet hook
Polyester fiberfill
Tapestry needle
1 set of 8mm safety eyes

CONE BODY:
Rd 1: With buff, 6 sc in magic ring. (6)
Rds 2-4: sc in each sc around. (6)
Rd 5: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (9)
Rds 6-8: sc in each sc around. (9)
Rd 9: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (12)
Rds 10-12: sc in each sc around. (12)
Rd 13: (sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (15)
Rds 14-16: sc in each sc around. (15)
Rd 17: (sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (18)
Rds 18-20: sc in each sc around. (18)
Rd 21: (sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (21)
Rds 22-24: sc in each sc around. (21)
Rd 25: (sc in next 6 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (24)
Rds 26-28: sc in each sc around. (24)

HEAD:
Rd 1: With perfect pink, 6 sc in magic ring. (6)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around. (12)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (18)
Rd 4: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (24)
Rd 5: (sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (30)
Rd 6: (sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (36) Change to white.
Rd 7: (sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (42)
Rds 8-12: sc in each sc around. (42) Change to coffee after Rd 12.
Rds 13-15: sc in each sc around. (42)
Rd 16: (sc in next 5 sc, sc2tog) around. (36)
Rd 17: (sc in next 4 sc, sc2tog) around. (30)
INSERT SAFETY EYES BETWEEN RDS 8 AND 9 WITH 122 SC BETWEEN.
STUFF HEAD FIRMLY

Rd 18: slip st in next sc, ch 1, turn; holding next sc on HEAD and first sc on CONE BODY together and working through both thicknesses, (sc in next sc, 2 dc in next sc, 2 dc in next sc, sc in next sc, slip st in next sc) around, slip st in first sc.
Finish off. Weave in ends.

NOSE HORN:
Rd 1: With perfect pink, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook working around ch. (4)
Rd 2: sc in each sc around. (4)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (6)
Rd 4: sc in each sc around. (6)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Stuff NOSE HORN firmly. Sew NOSE HORN to HEAD. Weave in ends.

LARGE HORNS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With coffee, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook working around ch. (4)
Rd 2: sc in each sc around. (4)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (6)
Rd 4: sc in each sc around. (6)
Rd 5: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (8)
Rd 6: sc in each sc around. (8)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Stuff LARGE HORNS firmly. Sew LARGE HORNS to HEAD. Weave in ends.

FRONT LEGS:
Rd 1: With buff, 6 sc in magic ring. (6)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around. (12)
Rds 3-4: sc in each sc around. (12)
Rd 5: (sc2tog) twice, sc in next 8 sc. (10)
Rds 6-10: sc in each sc around. (10)
Rd 11: 2 sc in next 4 sc, sc in next 6 sc. (14)
Rds 12-13: sc in each sc around. (14)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Stuff FRONT LEGS firmly. Sew FRONT LEGS to CONE BODY. Weave in ends.

HIND LEGS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With buff, 6 sc in magic ring. (6)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around. (12)
Rd 3: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (16)
Rds 4-5: sc in each sc around. (16)
Rd 6: (sc2tog) 4 times, sc in next 8 sc. (12)
Rds 7-9: sc in each sc around. (12)
Rd 10: sc in next sc, 2 sc in next 3 sc, sc in next 8 sc. (15)
Rd 11: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) 4 times, sc in next 2 sc, (sc2tog) twice, sc in next sc. (17)
Rd 12: sc in next 13 sc, (sc2tog) twice. (15)
Rds 13-14: sc in each sc around. (15)
Rd 15: (sc in next 3 sc, sc2tog) around. (12)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Stuff HIND LEGS firmly. Sew HIND LEGS to CONE BODY. Weave in ends.
