SPRINKLED NESSTRY

This is the next in a series of food-related dinosaurs. This is Sprinkled Nesstry. Sprinkled Nesstry is a combination of a donut and nessie.

MATERIALS:
Worsted weight yarn: taupe, perfect pink, yellow, white, and aqua.
D crochet hook
Polyester fiberfill
Tapestry needle
1 set of 8mm safety eyes
Chenille stem (cut into 3 pieces) (optional)

DONUT BODY:
PASTRY:

Rd 1: With taupe, ch 15, slip st in first ch to form a ring, ch 1, sc in each ch around. (15)
Rd 2: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (20)
Rd 3: (sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (25)
Rd 4: (sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (30)
Rd 5: (sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (35)
Rds 6-7: sc in each sc around. (35)
Finish off. Weave in ends.

FROSTING:
Rd 1: Working in free loops of foundation ch of PASTRY, ch 1, sc in each ch around. (15)
Rd 2: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (20)
Rd 3: (sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (25)
Rd 4: (sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (30)
Rd 5: (sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (35)
Rds 6-7: sc in each sc around. (35)
STUFF DONUT BODY FIRMLY.
Rd 8: slip st in first sc, ch 1, turn; holding next sc on FROSTING and first sc on PASTRY together and working through both thicknesses, (sc in next sc, hdc in next 4 sc) around, slip st in first sc.
Finish off leaving a long tail. With the wrong side facing, sew PASTRY and FROSTING together. With tail and working in outer loops only, sew PASTRY and FROSTING together adding stuffing as you go along.

HEAD AND NECK:
Rd 1: With taupe, 6 sc in magic ring. (6)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around. (12)
Rds 3-4: sc in each sc around. (12)
Rd 5: sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next 4 sc, sc in next 4 sc. (16)
Rd 6: sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 4 sc. (20)
Rds 7-9: sc in each sc around. (20)
Rd 10: sc in next 10 sc, ch 5, 3-st bubble st in third ch from hook, sc in next 2 ch, sc in same sc as last sc before ch-5, sc in next 5 sc, ch 5, 3-st bubble st in third ch from hook, sc in next 2 ch, sc in same sc as last sc before ch-5, sc in next 5 sc.
Rd 11: sc in next 7 sc, (sc2tog) twice, sc in next 5 sc, (sc2tog) twice, sc in next 2 sc. (18)
Rd 12: [(sc2tog) twice, sc in next 2 sc] around. (12)
Rds 13-14: sc in each sc around. (12)
INSERT SAFETY EYES BETWEEN RDS 7 AND 8.
BEGIN STUFFING HEAD AND NECK FIRMLY. CONTINUE STUFFING HEAD AND NECK FIRMLY AS YOU GO ALONG.

Rds 15-17: slip st in next 4 sc, sc in next 2 sc, hdc in next 4 sc, sc in next 2 sc. (12)
Rds 18-25: sc in each st around. (12)
Finish off leaving a long tail. OPTIONAL: insert chenille stem. Sew HEAD AND NECK to DONUT BODY. Weave in ends.

FROSTING HAT:
Rd 1: With perfect pink, 6 sc in magic ring. (6)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around. (12)
Rd 3: (slip st in next sc, 3 sc in next sc) around.
Finish off leaving a long tail. Sew FROSTING HAT on HEAD. Weave in ends.

SPRINKLES:
Using aqua, white, and yellow, randomly backstitch sprinkles on FROSTING and FROSTING HAT.

TAIL:
Rd 1: With taupe, 6 sc in magic ring. (6)
Rd 2: sc in each sc around. (6)
Rd 3: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (8)
Rd 4: sc in each sc around. (8)
Rd 5: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (12)
Rd 6: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (16)
Rd 7: sc in each sc around. (16)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Stuff TAIL firmly. Sew TAIL to DONUT BODY. Weave in ends.

FEET (MAKE 4):
Rd 1: With taupe, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook working around ch. (4)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around. (8)
Rd 3: sc in each sc around. (8)
Rd 4: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (12)
Rds 5-6: sc in each sc around. (12)
Rd 7: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (16)
Rds 8-9: sc in each sc around. (16)
Rd 10: (sc in next 2 sc, sc2tog) around. (12)
Rd 11: sc in each sc around. (12)
Rd 12: (sc in next sc, sc2tog) around. (8)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Stuff FEET firmly. Sew FEET to DONUT BODY. Weave in ends.
