ARBOK

This is the first in a “To Do” list that my daughter has given me.  I had made her Ekans a few years ago as one of the first Pokemon plush that had made.  This will complete another evolution set.  This pattern includes the color for both Arbok and Shiny Arbok.

MATERIALS:
Worsted Weight Yarn (Shiny colors are in parenthesis):  Amethyst (yellow), baby pink (light blue), perfect pink (blue), white, and black.
E crochet hook
Polyester Fiberfil
Tapestry needle
Black, red (blue), yellow craft felt
Glue
Floral wire (optional)

BODY:
Rd 1: With amethyst, 6 sc in magic ring.  (6)
Rds 2-4: sc in each sc around.  (6)
Rd 5: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (8)
Rds 6-8: sc in each sc around.  (8)
Rd 9: (sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (10)
Rds 10-12: sc in each sc around.  (10)
Rd 13: (sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (12)
Rds 14-16: sc in each sc around.  (12)
Rd 17: (sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (14)

Rw 1: With perfect pink, ch 6, sc in second ch from hook, sc in next 3 ch, 2 sc in last ch, sc in each of free loops of foundation 4 ch.  (10)
Rw 2: Ch 1, turn; sc in next 4 sc, 3 sc in next 2 sc, sc in next 4 sc.  (14)
Rw 3: Ch 1, turn; sc in next 5 sc, 3 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc, 3 sc in next sc, sc in next 5 sc.  (18)
Rw 4: Ch 1, turn; sc in next 7 sc, 2 sc in next 4 sc, sc in next 7 sc.  (22)
Finish off.

TONGUE:
Rw 1: With baby pink, ch 20, slip st in second ch from hook, slip st in next 2 ch, ch 4, slip st in second ch from hook, slip st in next 2 ch, slip st in next 16 ch.
Finish off.  Weave in ends.

LOWER JAW:
Rw 1: With amethyst, ch 6, sc in second ch from hook, sc in next 3 ch, 2 sc in last ch, sc in each of free loops of foundation 4 ch.  (10)
Rw 2: Ch 1, turn; sc in next 4 sc, 3 sc in next 2 sc, sc in next 4 sc.  (14)
Rw 3: Ch 1, turn; sc in next 5 sc, 3 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc, 3 sc in next sc, sc in next 5 sc.  (18)
Rw 4: Ch 1, turn; sc in next 7 sc, 2 sc in next 4 sc, sc in next 7 sc.  (22)
Rws 5-6: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across.  (22)
Rw 7: Holding magenta MOUTH and LOWER JAW together and working through both thicknesses, ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across.  (22)
Finish off.  Weave in ends.

UPPER JAW:
Rw 1: With amethyst, ch 6, sc in second ch from hook, sc in next 3 ch, 2 sc in last ch, sc in each of free loops of foundation 4 ch.  (10)
Rw 2: Ch 1, turn; sc in next 4 sc, 3 sc in next 2 sc, sc in next 4 sc.  (14)
Rw 3: Ch 1, turn; sc in next 5 sc, 3 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc, 3 sc in next sc, sc in next 5 sc.  (18)
Rw 4: Ch 1, turn; sc in next 6 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 6 sc.  (20)

Rd 1: With grass, work 15 sc evenly around the edge of UPPER JAW, work 13 sc evenly around the edge of LOWER JAW.  (28)
Rd 2: sc in each sc around.  (28)
Rd 3: (sc in next 5 sc, sc2tog) around.  (24)
Rd 4: sc in each sc around.  (24)
Rd 5: (sc in next 2 sc, sc2tog) around.  (18)
Rd 6: (sc in next sc, sc2tog) around.  (12)
BEGIN STUFFING HEAD FIRMLY.  CONTINUE STUFFING HEAD FIRMLY AS YOU GO ALONG.
Rd 7: sc2tog around.  (6)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Weave tail through sc of Rd 7, pull tightly and secure.  Sew HEAD to BODY.

EYES AND TEETH:
Embroider EYES and TEETH on HEAD of ARBOK.

HOOD MARKINGS:
Using black, red, and yellow craft felt, make HOOD MARKINGS.  Glue HOOD MARKINGS to BODY.
