HITMONCHAN

About a month ago, I had a Etsy customer order Hitmonlee.  I thought it was only right that since I made Hitmonlee that I should make Hitmonchan, Hitmontops, and, maybe, Tyrogue.  This is the pattern for Hitmonchan that I came up with.  Hitmontops and Tyrogue will be coming soon.  This pattern includes the color lists for both Hitmonchan and Shiny Hitmonchan.

MATERIALS:
Worsted weight yarn:  Warm brown, orchid, white, black, and red (blue)
E Crochet hook
Polyester fiberfill
Tapestry needle

THUMBS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With red, 6 sc in magic ring.  (6)
Rds 2-3: sc in each sc around.  (6)
Finish off.  Weave in ends.

ARMS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With red, 6 sc in magic ring.  (6)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.  (12)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (18)
Rds 4-5: sc in each sc around.  (18)
Rd 6: Flatten THUMB, holding next sc on ARMS and next sc on THUMB and working through all three thicknesses, sc in next 3 sc, sc in next 15 sc.  (18)
Rd 7: (sc in next sc, sc2tog) around.  (12)
Rd 8: sc2tog around.  (6)
Rd 9: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (8)  Change to warm brown.
Rds 10-14: sc in each sc around.  (8)
BEGIN STUFFING THE ARMS FIRMLY.  CONTINUE STUFFING AS YOU GO.
Rd 15: (sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (10)
Rds 16-21: sc in each sc around.  (10)  Place marker around sc #7 of Rd 21.
Finish off.  Weave in ends.

LEGS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With warm brown, 8 sc in magic ring.  (8)
Rds 2-4: sc in each sc around.  (8)
NOW WORKING IN ROWS.
Rw 5: sc in next 4 sc leaving remaining sc unworked.  (4)
Rw 6: Ch 1, turn; sc in next 4 sc.  (4)
Rw 7: Ch 1, turn; sc2tog, sc2tog.  (2)
NOW WORKING IN ROUNDS AGAIN.
Rd 8: Ch 1, working in side of Rw 5-7, sc in next 3 rows, slip st in each unworked sc of Rd 4, working in side of Rows 5-7, sc in next 3 rows, working in sc of Rw 7, sc in next 2 sc.
Rd 9: (sc in next 4 sc, sc2tog) around.  (10)
Rds 10-19: sc in each sc around.  (10)
BEGIN STUFFING THE LEGS FIRMLY.  CONTINUE STUFFING AS YOU GO.
Rd 20: (sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (12)
Rds 21-26: sc in each sc around.  (12)
Finish off.

SHOES (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With orchid, ch 6, 2 sc in second ch from hook, sc in next 3 ch, 3 sc in next ch working around ch, working in free loops of foundation ch, sc in next 4 ch.  (12)
Rd 2: (3 sc in next sc, sc in next 5 sc) around.  (16)
Rd 3: Working in back loops only, sc in each sc around.  (16)

Rw 1: With warm brown, ch 3, sc in second ch from hook and in next ch.  (2)
Rw 2: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across.  (2)
Rw 3: Ch 1, turn; 2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc.  (3)
Rw 4: Ch 1, turn; 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc.  (4)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew SMALL HEAD FEATHERS to HEAD of BODY.

MEDIUM HEAD FEATHERS (MAKE 2):

Rw 2: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across.  (2)
Rw 3: Ch 1, turn; 2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc.  (3)

Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew LARGE HEAD FEATHER to HEAD of BODY.

Embroider EYE and MOUTH on face of HITMONCHAN.

Finish off leaving a long tail.  Wrap BELT around waist of HITMONCHAN.  Sew ends together.  Weave in ends.
