PEPPA PIG

Peppa Pig is another request from a customer on Etsy.  Like so many requested, I had to make two once my daughter saw what I was making.  This is the pattern that I came up with for Peppa Pig.

MATERIALS:
Worsted weight yarn: Baby pink, perfect pink, red, white, and black.
D crochet hook
Polyester fiberfill
Tapestry needle
1 set of 10 mm safety eyes

FINGERS (MAKE 4):
Rd 1: With baby pink, 6 sc in magic ring.  (6)
Rd 2: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (8)
Rds 3-5: sc in each sc around.  (8)
Finish off.  Weave in ends.  Stuff FINGERS firmly.

ARMS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With baby pink, 6 sc in magic ring.  (6)
Rd 2: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (8)
Rds 3-5: sc in each sc around.  (8)
Rd 6: sc in next sc, holding next sc on ARMS and first sc on FINGERS together and working through both thicknesses, sc in next 2 sc, sc in next 2 sc on ARMS, holding next sc on ARMS and first sc on FINGERS together and working through both thicknesses, sc in next 2 sc, sc in next sc on ARMS.
Rds 7-8: (sc next sc on ARMS and next unworked sc on FINGERS together, working in sc behind same FINGER, sc in next sc, ch 1, sc in next sc, skip next 4 sc on same FINGER, sc next sc on FINGER and next sc on ARMS together) twice.
Rd 9: (sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc on FINGERS, sc in next sc on ARMS) twice.  (8)
BEGINS STUFFING ARMS FIRMLY.  CONTINUE STUFFING ARMS FIRMLY AS YOU GO ALONG.
Rds 10-22: sc in each sc around.  (8)
Finish off.  Weave in ends.

LEGS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With black, 6 sc in magic ring.  (6)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.  (12)
Rds 3-4: sc in each sc around.  (12)
Rd 5: (sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (14)
Rd 6: (sc in next 6 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (16)
Rds 7-10: sc in each sc around.  (16)
NOW WORKING IN ROWS.
Rw 11: sc in next 8 sc, leaving remaining sc unworked.  (8)
Rw 12: Ch 1, turn; sc2tog, sc in next 4 sc, sc2tog.  (6)
Rw 13: Ch 1, turn; sc2tog across.  (3)
NOW WORKING IN ROUNDS AGAIN.
Rd 14: Working in side of Rws 11-13, ch 1, sc2tog, sc in next Rw, slip st in unworked sc of Rd 10, working in side of Rws 11-13, sc in next sc, sc2tog, sc in next 3 sc of Rw 13.
Rd 15: (sc2tog) 6 times, sc in next 3 sc. (9) Change to baby pink.
Rd 16: sc in next 7 sc, sc2tog.  (8)
BEGIN STUFFING LEGS FIRMLY.  CONTINUE STUFFING LEGS FIRMLY AS YOU GO ALONG.
Rds 17-30: sc in each sc around.  (8)
Finish off.  Weave in ends.

TAIL:
Rw 1: With baby pink, ch 20, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across.  (19)
Finish off.  Weave in ends.

BODY:

Finish off leaving a long tail.  Weave tail through sc of Rd 44, pull tightly and secure.  Weave in ends.  Sew HEAD to BODY adding any stuffing needed to achieve desired shape.

NOSTRILS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With perfect pink, 6 sc in magic ring.  (6)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew NOSTRILS to HEAD.

EYES (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With white, 6 sc in magic ring.  (6)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.  (12)  Change to perfect pink.
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (18)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Insert safety eyes.  Sew EYES to HEAD.

CHEEKS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With perfect pink, 6 sc in magic ring.  (6)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.  (12)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (18)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew CHEEKS to HEAD.

MOUTH:
Using perfect pink and surface chain stitch, embroider MOUTH on HEAD.
