ESSY

This is an original concept from an Etsy customer.  This request was much easier than some the other requests that I have received from other customers.  I was able to use pieces of other requests to complete her.

MATERIALS:
Worsted Weight Yarn:  White, charcoal, aqua, light blue, burgundy, black, café latte, and light gray.
E crochet hook
Polyester Fiberfil
Tapestry needle

FINGERNAILS (MAKE 8):
Rd 1: With light blue, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook working around ch.  (4)
Finish off.  Weave in ends.

THUMBS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With light blue, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook working around ch.  (4)  Change to white.
Rd 2: sc in next sc, 2 sc in next 2 sc, sc in next sc.  (6)
Rd 3: sc in each sc around.  (6)
Finish off.  Weave in ends.

ARMS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With white, ch 5, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across.  (4)
Rd 2: Working in free loops of foundation ch, (holding next ch on ARMS and first sc on FINGERNAILS together and working through both thicknesses, sc in next 2 sc) twice, working in sc of Rd 1, holding next sc on ARMS and third sc on second FINGERNAIL together and working through both thicknesses, sc in next 2 sc, holding next sc on ARMS and third sc on first FINGERNAILS together and working through both thicknesses, sc in next 2 sc.  (8)
Rd 3: (sc in next 4 sc on FINGERNAILS, sc in next 4 sc on ARMS) twice.  (16)
Rds 4-6: sc in each sc around.  (16)
Rd 7: sc in next 3 sc, sc in next 6 sc on THUMBS, sc in next 13 sc.  (22)

Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.  (12)
Rds 3-4: sc in each sc around.  (12)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew MUZZLE to head of BODY stuffing before closing.

EYES, MOUTH, AND FOREHEAD JEWELS:
Embroider EYES, MOUTH and FOREHEAD JEWELS on head of ESSY.

HORNS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With gray, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook working around ch.  (4)
Rds 2-3: sc in each sc around.  (4)
Rd 4: sc in next sc, 2 sc in next 2 sc, sc in next sc.  (6)
Rd 5: sc2tog, 2 sc in next 2 sc, sc2tog.  (6)
Rds 6-8: sc in each sc around.  (6)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Stuff HORNS firmly.  Sew HORNS to head of ESSY.

HAIR:
Fringe on long pieces of charcoal to head of ESSY.

TAIL:
Rd 1: With charcoal, 6 sc in magic ring.  (6)
Rds 2-5: sc in each sc around.  (6)
Rd 6: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (8)
Rds 7-10: sc in each sc around.  (8)
Rd 11: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (12)

Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew WINGS to BODY.
