UMBREON

Umbreon was the Dark evolution of Eevee.  He was introduced in Gold and Silver along with Espeon.  Just like making ALL of the evolutions of Eevee, Umbreon is mostly as adaptation of my Flareon pattern.  This pattern includes the color listed for both Umbreon and Shiny Umbreon.

MATERIALS:
Worsted Weight Yarn (Shiny colors in parenthesis):  Black, yellow (aqua), red, and white.
Crochet Hook F
Fiberfil
Yarn Needle

BODY:
Rd 1: With black, 6 sc in magic ring.  (6)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.  (12)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (18)
Rd 4: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (24)
Rd 5: (sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (30)
Rds 6-13: sc in each sc around.  (30)
Rd 14: sc in next 11 sc, (sc2tog, sc in next sc) twice, sc2tog, sc in next 11 sc.  (27)
Rd 15: sc in each sc around.  (27)
Rd 16: sc in next 11 sc, sc2tog, sc in next sc, sc2tog, sc in next 11 sc.  (25)
Rd 17: sc in each sc around.  (25)
Rd 18: sc in next 12 sc, sc2tog, sc in next 11 sc.  (24)
Rd 19: sc in each sc around.  (24)
Rd 20: sc in next 6 sc, (sc2tog) 6 times, sc in next 6 sc.  (18)
Rd 21: sc in next 3 sc, (sc2tog) 6 times, sc in next 3 sc.  (12)
STUFF BODY FIRMLY.
Rd 22: sc2tog around.  (6)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Weave tail through sc of Rd 22, pull tightly and secure.  Weave in ends.

FRONT LEGS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With black, 6 sc in magic ring.  (6)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.  (12)
Rds 3-4: sc in each sc around.  (12)
Rd 5: (sc2tog) twice, sc in next 8 sc.  (10)
Rds 6-10: sc in each sc around.  (10)
Rd 11: 2 sc in next 4 sc, sc in next 6 sc.  (14)
Rds 12-13: sc in each sc around.  (14)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Stuff FRONT LEGS firmly.  Sew FRONT LEGS to BODY.  Using yellow, embroider O-tings on FRONT LEGS.

HIND LEGS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With black, 6 sc in magic ring.  (6)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.  (12)
Rd 3: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (16)
Rds 4-5: sc in each sc around.  (16)
Rd 6: (sc2tog) 4 times, sc in next 8 sc.  (12)
Rds 7-9: sc in each sc around.  (12)
Rd 10: sc in next sc, 2 sc in next 3 sc, sc in next 8 sc.  (15)
Rd 11: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) 4 times, sc in next 2 sc, (sc2tog) twice, sc in next sc.  (17)
Rd 12: sc in next 13 sc, (sc2tog) twice.  (15)
Rds 13-15: sc in each sc around.  (15)
Rd 16: (sc in next 3 sc, sc2tog) around.  (12)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Stuff HIND LEGS firmly.  Sew HIND LEGS to BODY.  Using yellow, embroider O-rings on HIND LEGS.

HEAD:
Rd 1: With black, 8 sc in magic ring.  (8)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.   (16)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (24)
Rd 4: sc in next 2 sc, (sc2tog) twice, sc in next 2 sc, (sc2tog) twice, sc in next 12 sc.  (20)
Rd 5: sc in each sc around.  (20)
Rd 6: sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next 2 sc, sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next 2 sc, sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next 2 sc, sc in next 11 sc.  (26)
Rds 7-9: sc in next sc around.  (26)
Rd 10: sc in next 2 sc, sc2tog, sc in next 12 sc, (sc2tog, sc in next 2 sc) twice, sc2tog.  (22)
Rd 11: (sc2tog, sc in next 2 sc) 5 times, sc2tog.  (16)
Rd 12: (sc2tog, sc in next 2 sc) around.  (12)
STUFF HEAD FIRMLY.
Rd 13 (sc in next sc, sc2tog) around.  (8)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Weave tail through sc of Rd 13, pull tightly and secure.  Sew HEAD to BODY.  Using yellow, embroider O-ring on forehead of HEAD.

EARS (MAKE2):
Rd 1: With black, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook working around ch.  (4)
Rd 2: sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc.  (5)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) twice, sc in next sc.  (7)
Rd 4: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) twice, sc in next sc.  (9)
Rd 5: (sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) twice, sc in next sc.  (11)  Change to yellow.
Rd 6: sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 5 sc.  (12)
Rd 7: 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 11 sc.  (13)  Change to black.
Rd 8: (sc in next 5 sc, sc2tog) twice, sc in next sc.  (11)
Rds 9-12: sc in each sc around.  (11)
Rd 13: (sc in next 4 sc, sc2tog) twice, sc in next sc.  (9)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Stuff EARS firmly.  Sew EARS to HEAD.

EYES AND NOSE:
Embroider EYES and NOSE on UMBREON.  I used metallic black yarn for the NOSE so that it would stand out from the black BODY.

TAIL:
Rd 1: With black, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook working around ch.  (4)
Rd 2: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (6)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (9)
Rd 4: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (12)
Rd 5: (sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (15)
Rd 6: (sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (18)  Change to yellow.
Rd 7: (sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (21)
Rd 8: (sc in next 6 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (24)
Rd 9: sc in each sc around.  (24)  Change to black.
Rds 10-13: sc in each sc around.  (24)
Rd 14: (sc in next 2 sc, sc2tog) around.  (18)
Rd 15: sc in each sc around.  (18)
