MAGIKARP BAG

This Is a drawstring bag designed to look a Magikarp from the Pokemon game.  I still think that Magikarp are one of the most useless Pokemon that has been designed.  For some reason, my daughter has developed a love affair with Magikarp.  She is the recipient of the one made while coming up with this pattern.  This pattern includes the color list for both Magikarp and Shiny Magikarp.

MATERIALS:
Worsted Weight Yarn (Shiny color substitute in parenthesis):  Orange (Gold), yellow, white, black, and passion pink (pale yellow).
G crochet hook
Polyester fiberfill
Yarn Needle
Yellow parachute cord

BODY:
Rd 1: With orange, 6 sc in magic ring.  (6)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.  (12)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (18)
Rd 4: sc in each sc around.  (18)
Rd 5: (sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (21)
Rd 6: (sc in next 6 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (24)
Rd 7: sc in each sc around.  (24)
Rd 8: (sc in next 7 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (27)
Rd 9: (sc in next 8 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (30)
Rd 10: sc in each sc around.  (30)
Rd 11: (sc in next 9 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (33)

Rd 24-31: sc in each sc around.  (42)
Rd 32: Working over yellow parachute cord, sc in each sc around.  (42)
Rd 33: sc in each sc around.  (42)  Change to passion pink.
Rds 34-35: sc in each sc around.  (42)
Finish off.  Weave in ends.

SIDE FINS (MAKE 2):
Rw 1: With white, ch 11, dc2tog, dc in next 3 ch, sc in next 3 ch.  (8)
Rw 2: Ch 1, turn; sc in next 4 sc, dc in next 2 dc, dc2tog.  (7)
Rw 3: Ch 2, turn; dc in next 3 dc, sc in next 4 sc.  (7)
Rw 4: Ch 1, turn; sc in next 4 sc, dc in next 2 dc, 3 dc in next dc.  (9)
Rw 5: Ch 2, turn; 3 dc in next dc, dc in next 4 dc, sc in next 4 sc.  (11)
Finish off.  Weave in ends.

SIDE FIN EDGING:
Rw 1: Starting in first dc of Rw 5 of SIDE FIN, attach orange, ch 1, 2 sc in same sc as attachment, sc in next 10 sc, working in side of Rws of SIDE FIN, sc in next 3 Rws, sc2tog.
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew SIDE FINS to BODY.

TAIL:
Rd 1: With white, 6 sc in magic ring.  (6)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.  (12)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (18)

Rd 1: Fold TAIL in half.  Working through both thicknesses, attach orange, ch 1, 2 sc in same sc as attachment, sc in next 21, 2 sc in next sc.
Finish off.  Weave in ends.  Sew TAIL to BODY.

TOP FIN LARGE POINT:
Rd 1: With yellow, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook working around ch.  (4)

Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (6)
