OPENABLE LUXURY BALL

This is a new adventure from the Pokeballs that I have made in the past. This is the first one I have made with a plastic shell inside of the ball giving it the ability to open and be able to put a figure inside of it. I used a plastic split Christmas ball for the shell. Luxury Ball was requested by my friend that asked me to make this.

MATERIALS:
Worsted weight yarn: Black, red, and gold.
F crochet hook
Clear plastic split ball
Tapestry needle
Small snap
Sewing thread
Sewing needle

LUXURY BALL TOP:
Rd 1: With black, 6 sc in magic ring, slip st in first sc. (6)
Rd 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in each sc around, slip st in first sc. (12)
Rd 3: Ch 1, (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around, slip st in first sc changing to red. (18)
Rd 4: Ch 1, (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around, slip st in first sc changing to black. (24)
Rd 5: Ch 1, (sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around, slip st in first sc. (30)
Rd 6: Ch 1, (sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around, slip st in first sc. (36)
Rd 7: Ch 1, (sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around, slip st in first sc. (42)
Rd 8: Ch 1, sc in each sc around, slip st in first sc. (42)
Rd 9: Ch 1, sc in each sc around, slip st in first sc changing to gold. (42)
Rd 10: Ch 1, sc in each sc around, slip st in first sc. (42)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Using gold, embroider gold line above and below Rd 4.

LUXURY BALL BOTTOM:
Rd 1: With black, 6 sc in magic ring, slip st in first sc. (6)
Rd 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in each sc around, slip st in first sc. (12)
Rd 3: Ch 1, (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around, slip st in first sc. (18)
Rd 4: Ch 1, (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around, slip st in first sc. (24)
Rd 5: Ch 1, (sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around, slip st in first sc. (30)
Rd 6: Ch 1, (sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around, slip st in first sc. (36)
Rd 7: Ch 1, (sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around, slip st in first sc. (42)
Rd 8: Ch 1, sc in each sc around, slip st in first sc. (42)
Rd 9: Ch 1, sc in each sc around, slip st in first sc changing to gold. (42)
Rd 10: Ch 1, sc in each sc around, slip st in first sc. (42)
Finish off. Weave in ends. Sew LUXURY BALL TOP and LUXURY BALL BOTTOM in the back using only 6 sc.

BUTTON:
Rd 1: With gold, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook working around ch, slip st in first sc. (4)
Rd 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in each sc around, slip st in first sc. (8)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Using black, embroider black ring between Rd 1 and 2 of BUTTON. Sew BUTTON to LUXURY BALL over Rds 9 and 10. Sew small snap to BUTTON and corresponding place on LUXURY BALL BOTTOM.

ASSEMBLY:
Glue plastic ball pieces to inside of LUXURY BALL TOP and LUXURY BALL BOTTOM. Sew
