NIRMALA


 
Nirmala is an original concept from the mind of an Etsy customer of mine.  She is designed to be the daughter of Nirmala and Surak from the show “The Lion Guard” on Disney Junior.  These are the items that I love to make the most because they have more sentimental value to my customers.  I am honored to bring their ideas to life. 

MATERIALS:
Worsted weight yarn:  gray, grey heather, charcoal, coffee, baby pink, black, white, lemon, yellow, delft blue, green, and blue.
E crochet hook
Polyester Fiberfil
Tapestry needle
Green chenille stem
OPTIONAL:  Floral wire

BODY:

MOUTH, NOSE, EYES, EYELASHES, AND EYEBROWS:
Using picture as guide, embroider MOUTH, NOSE, EYES and EYEBROWS on PENDA.  NOSE is done with burnt pumpkin.  Fringe on a small piece of black at corner of each eye for EYELASHES.

EARS (MAKE 2):
INNER EARS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1:      With baby pink, ch 4, 2 sc in second ch from hook, sc in next ch, 3 sc in next ch working around ch, working in free loops of foundation ch, sc in next 2 ch.  (8)
Rd 2:      (3 sc in next sc, sc in next 3 sc) around, slip st in next sc.  (12)
Finish off.  Weave in ends.
Rw 3:     Skip next sc, attach black, ch 2, dc in same sc as attachment, hdc in next sc, sc in next 4 sc, slip st in next sc.
Finish off.  Weave in ends.
OUTER EARS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1:      With gray, ch 4, 2 sc in second ch from hook, sc in next ch, 3 sc in next ch working around ch, working in free loops of foundation ch, sc in next 2 ch.  (8)
Rd 2:      (3 sc in next sc, sc in next 3 sc) around, slip st in next sc.  (12)
Finish off.  Weave in ends.
Rw 3:     slip st in next sc, ch 2, dc in same sc as last slip st, hdc in next sc, sc in next 4 sc, slip st in next sc.
Finish off.  Weave in ends
Rd 4:      Holding INNER EAR and OUTER EAR together and working through both thicknesses, attach gray in same sc as ch-2 but working on opposite side, ch 2, dc in same sc as attachment, hdc in next sc, sc in next 4 sc, 3 sc in next sc, working in sc of Rw 3, sc in next 6 sc. 
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew EARS to HEAD.  Weave in ends.

HAIR:
Fringe on pieces of coffee to HEAD.

BEGIN STUFFING TAIL FIRMLY.  CONTINUE STUFFING TAIL FIRMLY AS YOU GO ALONG.

Finish off leaving a long tail.  OPTIONAL:  Insert floral wire to make the TAIL flexible.  Sew TAIL to BODY.  Weave in ends.  Fringe on pieces of coffee to end of TAIL.

FLOWER STEM:
Rw 1:     With green, ch 15, working over green chenille stem, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across.  (14)
Finish off.  Weave in ends.

LEAVES (MAKE 2):

Rd 2:      2 sc in each sc around, slip st in first sc changing to delft blue.  (10)

Finish off.  Weave in ends.  Attach FLOWER to FLOWER STEM.  Attach FLOWER to HEAD just over the left EAR.  Weave in ends.

  1. hi! i'm really enjoying ur designs and patterns since they are so cool and fun to make! i dunno if u take any requests but i'm wondering if you could make anything from the game monster hunter(btw it's a really fun and cool game too). some suggestions are lagiacrus, deviljho, tigrex, etc. i'd really appreciate it if u could give it a try! thanks!

    1. I do take requests but unless you are willing to purchase the finished item, it will be a while before I get to them. I sell items in my Etsy shop at crochetfanaticdesign.etsy.com.
