DRAGON MAN

This is the next in a long list of original concepts drawn by an Etsy customer of mine.  Lately, he has been having me make plush based on drawings of his.  He has ordered many Pokemon plush from me.  I used many pieces of a previous creation of mine for this customer to make creating Dragon Man a little easier and done at a faster pace than starting from scratch.

MATERIALS:
Worsted Weight Yarn:  Grey heather, red, buff, white, black, coffee brown, baby pink, and gold.
E crochet hook
Polyester Fiberfil
Tapestry needle

BODY:

Rw 2: (Ch 3, sc in second ch from hook, hdc in next ch, skip next sc, slip st in next sc) 5 times.
Finish off.  Sew SIDEBURNS to HEAD.

EYES, MOUTH ANF TEETH:
Using picture as reference, embroider EYES, MOUTH, and TEETH on HEAD.

EYEBROWS (MAKE 2):
Rw 1: With gold, ch 5, slip st in first sc, sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc.  (5)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew EYEBROW to HEAD.

ANTENNA (MAKE 2):
Rw 1: With gold, ch 20, slip st in HEAD next to slip st of EYEBROWS, ch 20.  Finish off.

MUSTACHE (MAKE 2):
Rw 1: With gold, ch 4, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across.  (3)
Rw 2: Ch 4, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across.  (3)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew MUSTACHE to HEAD.

NOSE TAILS FEATHERS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With gold, ch 3, 2 sc in second ch from hook, 4 sc in next ch working around ch, working in free loops of foundation ch, 2 sc in next ch.  (8)
Rd 2: slip st in next sc, ch 2, sc in second ch from hook, slip st in next sc, ch 2, sc in second ch from hook, skip next sc, slip st in next sc, ch 2, sc in second ch from hook, slip st in next sc, ch 2, sc in second ch from hook, skip next sc, slip st in next sc, ch 2, sc in second ch from hook, slip st in next sc.
Finish off.  Weave in ends.

NOSE TAILS (MAKE 2):
Rw 1: With grey heather, ch 20, slip st in first sc of NOSE TAILS FEATHER, slip st in next last sc of NOSE TAILS FEATHER, working over floral wire, slip st in next 20 ch.
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew NOSE TAILS to HEAD.  Glue floral wire to NOSE TAILS FEATHERS.

EARS (MAKE 2):
INNER EARS (MAKE 2):
Rw 1: With baby pink, ch 2, 2 sc in second ch from hook.  (2)
Rws 2-6: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across.  (2)
Finish off.  Weave in ends.
OUTER EARS (MAKE 2):
Rw 1: With grey heather, ch 2, 2 sc in second ch from hook.  (2)
Rw 2: Ch 1, turn; 2 sc in each sc across.  (4)
Rws 3-5: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across.  (4)
Rw 6: Holding INNER EAR and OUTER EAR together, working in sides of rows, and working through both thicknesses, ch 1, sc in next 5 Rws, 2 sc in free loop of foundation ch, sc in next 5 Rws.
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew EARS to HEAD.

ANTLERS:
Using brown chenille stem, create ANTLERS and attach them to HEAD next to EARS.

Finish off leaving a long tail.  Wrap LEG BANDS around LEGS and sew together.

LEG SPIKES (MAKE 2):

Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew LEG SPIKES to LEGS.

TOENAILS AND WHITE MARKINGS:
Using white, embroider TOENAILS and WHITE MARKINGS on LEGS.

THUMBS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With grey heather, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook working around ch.  (4)
Rds 2-3: slip st in first sc changing to white, ch 1, sc in each sc around.  (4)
Finish off.  Weave in ends.

FINGERS AND ARMS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With grey heather, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook working around ch.  (4)
Rds 2-4: sc in each sc around.  (4)
Finish off in first 2 FINGERS on each ARM.  DO NOT FINISH OFF IN 3RD FINGER FOR EACH ARM.

RED BELLY EDGING:
Using red, embroider RED BELLY EDGING.

BEARD:
Using gold, fringe on 8 inch pieces along ridge of neck line.

HAIR:
Fringe on 12 inch pieces of gold on HEAD starting between ANTENNA and working back over HEAD between EARS.
