WINNIE THE POOH

This pattern is an updated version of a pattern of Winnie the Pooh that I made a few years ago. This time I am adding a honey pot that he is holding. The honey pot is optional. It was an addition by the coworker that requested Winnie the Pooh. She also requested several other characters from the Winnie the Pooh series of television shows and movies. Those patterns are coming soon.

Use B hook on parts of Winnie the Pooh’s body. Use C hook on Winnie the Pooh’s shirt and honey pot.

MATERIALS:
Worsted Weight Yarn: Gold, black, red, delft blue.
B and C crochet hooks
Polyester fiberfill
Tapestry needle
1 set of 10mm safety eyes
Cardboard circle the size of honey pot bottom

EARS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With gold, 6 sc in magic ring. (6)
Rd 2: (2 sc in next 2 sc, sc in next sc) around. (10)
Rds 3-4: sc in each sc around. (10)
Rd 5: slip st in next 2 sc, sc in next 6 sc, slip st in next 2 sc. (10)
Rd 6: slip st in next 2 sts, sc2tog, sc in next 2 sc, sc2tog, slip st in next 2 sts.
Finish off. Weave in ends.

NOSE:
Rd 1: With black, ch 2, 5 sc in second ch from hook working around ch. (5)
Rd 2: sc in next 2 sc, in next sc (sc, ch 1, sc), sc in next 2 sc, slip in next sc.
Finish off. Weave in ends.

MUZZLE:
Rd 1: With right side of NOSE facing, join Gold, with sc in same st as slip st, 2 sc in next 2 sc, working over ch-1 space and in previous round of NOSE, sc in same sc as (sc, ch 1, sc), 2 sc in next 3 sc. (12)
Rd 2: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (18)
Rd 3: sc in each sc around. (18)
Rd 4: sc in next 4 sc, slip st in next sc, leaving remaining 13 sc unworked.
Rd 5: turn; skip next slip st, sc in next 7 sc, slip st in next sc.
Finish off. Weave in ends.

ARMS:
Rd 1: With gold, 6 sc in magic ring. (6)
