SHANKY THE CORGI

This is another request by a customer on Etsy for plushies based on their dogs. I have made several others for this customer as well. This is Shanky, which is a Corgi breed of dog.

INSERT BROWN SAFETY EYES.

Finish off leaving a long tail. Weave tail through sc of Rd 17, pull tightly and secure. Sew HEAD to BODY. Using white, embroider line connecting line on HEAD to center of white area on BODY. Weave in ends.

MUZZLE:
Rd 1: With white, 9 sc in magic ring. (9)
Rd 2: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (12)
Rd 3: (sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (15)
Rds 4-6: sc in each sc around. (15)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Insert black safety nose. Sew to BODY adding stuffing in MUZZLE before closing. Using black, embroider mouth on MUZZLE. Weave in ends.

LEGS (MAKE 4):
Rd 1: With tan, ch 6, sc in second ch from hook, sc in next 3 ch, 3 sc in next ch, working in free loops of foundation ch, sc in next 4 ch. (11)
Rd 2: Ch 1, turn; sc in next 5 sc, 3 sc in next sc, sc in next 5 sc. (13)
Rd 3: Ch 1, turn; sc in next 6 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 6 sc. (14)

BEGIN STUFFING LEGS AT THIS POINT. STUFF LOWER PART OF LEG FIRMLY AND UPPER PART LIGHTLY SO THAT IT CAN BE FLATTENED.

STUFF LEG TOES FIRMLY.

Finish off leaving a long tail. Weave tail through sc of Rd 6, pull tightly and secure. With black, embroider paw pads on LEGS. Sew LEGS to BODY. Weave in ends.
