SPRIGATITO

Sprigatito is the grass starter for the new Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. I have already made Fuecoco, the fire starter. Hopefully, I will make Quaxly, the water starter, soon. This was one of many on my daughter’s “To Do” list that she started working on since Pokemon Go came out. This pattern includes the color lists for both Sprigatito and Shiny Sprigatito.

MATERIALS:
Worsted Weight Yarn (Shiny alternative will be in parenthesis): Light green, spring green (jade), perfect pink (pale plum—only in eyes), burgundy, white, gray, and black.
F crochet hook
Polyester fiberfill
Yarn Needle

BODY:
Rd 1: With light green, 6 sc in magic ring. (6)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around. (12)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (18)
Rd 4: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (24)
Rd 5: (sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (30)
Rds 6-18: sc in each sc around. (30)
Rd 19: (sc in next 3 sc, sc2tog) around. (24)
Rd 20: (sc in next 2 sc, sc2tog) around. (18)
Rd 21: (sc in next sc, sc2tog) around. (12)
STUFF BODY FIRMLY.
Rd 22: sc2tog around. (6)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Weave tail through sc of Rd 22, pull tightly and secure. Weave in ends.

FRONT LEGS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With light green, 6 sc in magic ring. (6)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around. (12)
Rds 3-4: sc in each sc around. (12)
Rd 5: (sc2tog) twice, sc in next 8 sc. (10)
Rds 6-10: sc in each sc around. (10)

MOUTH, NOSE, AND EYES:
Using perfect pink, burgundy, gray, and white, embroider MOUTH on HEAD. Using perfect pink, embroider NOSE on HEAD. Using black, white, and perfect pink, embroider EYES on HEAD.

SIDEBURNS (MAKE 2):
Rw 1: With light green, ch 5, sc in second ch from hook, (hdc, dc) in next ch, dc in next 2 ch. (5)
Rw 2: Ch 4, sc in second ch from hook, sc in next 2 ch. (3)
Rw 3: Ch 6, sc in second ch from hook, dc2tog, dc in next 2 ch. (4)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Sew SIDEBURNS to HEAD. Weave in ends.
