RAPTOREON

Raptoreon is an original concept of an Eevee evolution of the Flying-type. Raptoreon comes from the brilliant mind of Hannah Lovejoy (@kloversight). She also designed an Eevee evolution for the bug-type. I am currently assisting her in making Mantoeon (Bug-type evolution).

MATERIALS:
Worsted weight yarn: café latte, grey heather, off white, white, orange, red, black, light blue, and dusty grey.
C crochet hook
Polyester Fiberfil
Tapestry needle
Chenille stems
Floral wire

BODY:
Rd 1: With café latte, 9 sc in magic ring. (9)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around. (18)

Using black, embroider BEAK on HEAD. Using red, black, and white, embroider EYES on HEAD. Using light blue, embroider FOREHEAD V on HEAD.

HAIR:
Fringe on pieces of off white on various places on top of HEAD.

EARS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With orange, ch 5, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across. (4)
Rd 2: Working in free loops of foundation ch of Rd 1, 2 sc in next ch, sc in next 2 ch, 2 sc in next ch, working in front loops only of Rd 1, slip st in next sc, (ch 2, sc in second ch from hook, slip st in next sc) 3 times.
Rd 3: 2 sc in next 2 sc, sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, working in back loops of Rd 1, 3 hdc in next sc, hdc in next 2 sc, 3 hdc in next sc, slip st in first sc.
Rd 4: Ch 1, turn; 5 hdc in next sc, slip st in next sc, ch 3, sc in second ch from hook, (hdc, dc) in next ch, skip next sc, slip st in next sc, ch 3, sc in second ch from hook, (hdc, dc) in next ch, skip next sc, slip st in next sc, ch 2, sc in second ch from hook, slip st in next sc.
Finish off leaving a long tail. Sew EARS to HEAD. Weave in ends.

BELLY:

Rw 13: Ch 1, turn; sc2tog, sc in next 4 sc, sc2tog. (6)
Rw 14: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across. (6)
Rw 15: Ch 1, turn; sc2tog, sc in next 2 sc, sc2tog. (4)
Rw 16: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across. (4)

Rw 1: Attach white in the side of Rw 6 of BELLY and working toward HEAD, ch 2, sc in second ch from hook, skip next Rw, slip st in next sc, (ch 2, sc in second ch from hook, slip st in next Rw) 3 times.
Finish off. Weave in ends.

CLAWS (MAKE 12):
Rd 1: With dusty grey, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook working around ch. (4)
Rds 2-3: sc in each sc around. (4)
Finish off. Weave in ends. Stuff CLAWS firmly. Using white, embroider nails on CLAWS.

FRONT LEGS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With dusty grey, 8 sc in magic ring. (8)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around. (16)

Rw 1: Attach café latte in Rd 13 of HIND LEGS, ch 2, sc in second ch from hook, slip st in next Rd. (1)

LEG WINGS (MAKE 4):
Rw 1: With charcoal, ch 5, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across. (4)
