SNOM


This is another Pokemon recently added to my daughter’s “To Do” list. This was easy to make once I figured out how many cone-shaped bumps were on Snom’s back. This is pattern includes the color list for both Snom and Shiny Snom.

MATERIALS:
Worsted Weight Yarn (Shiny colors in parenthesis): Light blue and white (off white).
E crochet hook
Polyester Fiberfil
Tapestry needle
Safety eyes

BODY CONES (MAKE 14):
Rd 1: With light blue, 6 sc in magic ring. (6)
Rd 2: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (8)
Rd 3: (sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (10)
Rd 4: (sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (12)
Rd 5: (sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (14)
Rd 6: (sc in next 6 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (16)
Rd 7: (sc in next 7 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (18)
Rd 8: (sc in next 8 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (20)
Finish off leaving a long tail.

ROW 1 ATTACHMENT:
Sew 5 sc of each BODY CONE together making a row of 5 BODY CONES.

ROW 2 ATTACHMENT:
Sew 6 sc of each BODY CONE together making a row of 5 BODY CONES. Sew 5 sc of each BODY CONE of Row 1 to 5 sc of each BODY CONE of Row 2 together.

ROW 3 ATTACHMENT:
Sew 5 sc of each BODY CONE together making a row of 3 BODY CONES. Sew a total of 15 sc of Row 3 to Row 2.

LAST BODY CONE ATTACHMENT:
Sew 15 sc of last BODY CONE to Row 3 of BODY CONES.

BOTTOM:
Rd 1: With light blue, ch 4, sc in second ch from hook, sc in next ch, 3 sc in next ch working around ch, working in free loops of foundation ch, sc in next 2 sc. (7)
Rd 2: Ch 1, turn; sc in next sc, 2 sc in next 5 sc, sc in next sc. (12)
Rd 3: Ch 1, turn; sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next 4 sc, sc in next 4 sc. (16)
Rd 4: Ch 1, turn; sc in next 6 sc, 2 sc in next 4 sc, sc in next 6 sc. (20)
Rd 5: Ch 1, turn; sc in next 8 sc, 2 sc in next 4 sc, sc in next 8 sc. (24)
Rd 6: Ch 1, turn; sc in next 10 sc, 2 sc in next 4 sc, sc in next 10 sc. (28)
Rd 7: Ch 1, turn; sc in next 4 sc, (2 sc in next sc, sc in next 5 sc) 4 times. (32)
Rd 8: Ch 1, turn; sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 5 sc, (2 sc in next sc, sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 5 sc) twice. (37)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Sew BOTTOM to assembled BODY CONES. Weave in ends.

EDGE OF BODY:
Rd 1: Attach light blue in foundation of BOTTOM, sc in next 8 Rws, sc in next 25 sc of assembled BODY CONES, sc in next 8 Rws of BOTTOM. (42)
Rds 2-3: sc in each sc around. (42)
Finish off. Weave in ends. Stuff BODY FIRMLY.

NOSE BUMPS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With white, 6 sc in magic ring. (6)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around. (12)
Rds 3-5: sc in each sc around. (12)
Finish off on first NOSE BUMP. DO NOT FINISH OFF in second NOSE BUMP. Stuff NOSE BUMPS firmly.

HEAD:
Rd 1: holding both NOSE BUMPS together and working through both thicknesses, sc in next 3 sc, sc in next 6 sc of right NOSE BUMP, 2 sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next 3 sc on left NOSE BUMP, sc in next 6 sc. (24)
Rd 2: sc in next 6 sc, (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) 6 times, sc in next 6 sc. (30)
Rd 3: sc in next 9 sc, (2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc) 6 times, sc in next 9 sc. (36)
Rd 4: sc in next 12 sc, (2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc) 3 times, (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) 3 times, sc in next 12 sc. (42)
Rds 5-13: sc in each sc around. (42)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Insert safety eyes 5 Rds from back edge even with first sc of each side of BODY CONES. Stuff HEAD firmly. Sew HEAD to BODY. Weave in ends.
