SLAKOTH

Slakoth is a Pokemon that looks a lot like a sloth.  My daughter saw a sloth on the GEICO commercials and wanted me to make one for her.  When she saw that there was a Pokemon that looked like a sloth, she decided to Slakoth to her extremely long “to do” list.  This is the pattern that I came up with for Slakoth.  This pattern includes the color lists for both Slakoth and Shiny Slakoth.

MATERIALS:
Worsted Weight Yarn (Shiny colors in parenthesis):  Buff (Lavender), perfect pink, coffee brown, black, and white.
Crochet Hook F
Fiberfil
Yarn Needle
Floral wire (optional)

BODY:
Rd 1: With buff, ch 4, 2 sc in second ch from hook, sc in next sc, 4 sc in next ch working around ch, working in free loops of foundation ch, sc in next ch, 2 sc in next ch.  (10)
Rd 2: 2 sc in next 2 sc, sc in next sc, 2 sc in next 4 sc, sc in next sc, 2 sc in next 2 sc.  (18)
Rd 3: 2 sc in next sc, (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) twice, sc in next sc, (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) 4 times, sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc.  (26)
Rd 4: sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc, (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) twice, sc in next sc, (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) 4 times, sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc.  (34)

STUFF BODY FIRMLY.
Rd 30: sc2tog around.  (8)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Weave tail through sc of Rd 30, pull tightly and secure.  Weave in ends.

HEAD:
Rd 1: With buff, ch 4, 2 sc in second ch from hook, sc in next sc, 4 sc in next ch working around ch, working in free loops of foundation ch, sc in next ch, 2 sc in next ch.  (10)
Rd 2: 2 sc in next 2 sc, sc in next sc, 2 sc in next 4 sc, sc in next sc, 2 sc in next 2 sc.  (18)

EYES (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With white, (4 sc, change to perfect pink, 4 sc) in magic ring, slip st in first sc changing to coffee brown.  (8)
Rd 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in each sc around, slip st in first sc.  (16)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew EYES to BODY.  Embroider black dividing lines.  Using French knots, create pupils on EYES.

NOSE:
Rd 1: With perfect pink, ch 3, 2 sc in second ch from hook, 4 sc in next ch working around ch, working in free loop of foundation ch, 2 sc in next ch.  (8)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.  (16)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew NOSE on HEAD.

HEAD HAIR:
Fringe on 2 pieces of buff to top of HEAD over 5 sc.  Trim to desired length.

BELLY:
Rd 1: With perfect pink, ch 10, 2 sc in second ch from hook, sc in next 7 ch, 4 sc in next ch working around ch, working in free loops of foundation ch, sc in next 7 ch, 2 sc in next ch.  (18)
Rd 2: 2 sc in next 2 sc, sc in next 7 sc, 2 sc in next 4 sc, sc in next 7 sc, 2 sc in next 2 sc.  (26)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) twice, sc in next 7 sc, (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) 4 times, sc in next 7 sc, (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) twice.  (34)

Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew BACK STRIPES to BODY leaving 4 Rds between each stripe.

BACK HAIR:
Fringe on 2 pieces of buff in a triangle between BACK STRIPES.  Fringe on 2 pieces of coffee brown in a triangle pattern on BACK STRIPE closest to back right leg.

TOENAILS (MAKE 8):
Rd 1: With white, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook working around ch.  (4)
Rd 2: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (6)
Rds 3-5: sc in each sc around.  (6)
Finish off.  Weave in ends.

FRONT LEGS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: Attach buff in first sc of TOENAIL, ch 1, sc in same sc as attachment, sc in next 2 sc, sc in next 6 sc of second TOENAIL, sc in next 3 sc of first TOENAIL.  (12)
Rds 2-5: sc in each sc around.  (12)
Rd 6: sc in next 11 sc, 2 sc in next sc.  (13)
Rds 7-10: sc in each sc around.  (13)
Rd 11: sc in next 12 sc, 2 sc in next sc.  (14)

STUFF BACK LEGS FIRMLY.
Rd 19: sc2tog around.  (6)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew BACK LEGS to BODY.
