This is a pattern for the character known as Rainbow Brite created by Hallmark Cards, Inc. designers for many cards and later a brief run cartoon series. This was a request by a co-worker of mine.

STRAPS (MAKE 2):
Rw 1: With red, ch 20, sc in second ch from hook and in next 18 sc. Finish off leaving a long tail to sew STRAPS to BODICE.
SHOULDER WINGS:
Rw 1: Skip next 3 sc of STRAP, attach blue, working in back loops only, ch 1, sc2tog, sc in next 9 sc, sc2tog. (11)
Rw 2: Ch 1, turn; sc3tog, sc in next 5 sc, sc3tog.
Finish off. Weave in ends. Repeat with second STRAP.
Sew STRAPS to BODICE about 10 sc between STRAPS on front of BODICE and 7 sc between front and back attachment of STRAPS.

Cut rainbow strips out of spring green, blue and purple felt. Glue on DRESS between STRAPS.
STARS (MAKE 7):
Cut 5 STARS out of yellow felt, 1 STAR out of purple felt, and 1 STAR out of red felt. Glue 2 yellow STARS on BOOTS. Glue 2 yellow STARS on middle of purple section of SLEEVES. Glue 1 yellow STAR on end of RAINBOW. Glue purple STAR below left eye on face. Glue red STAR on blue bow in hair.
