BLACK COWBOYS BABY BOOTS

I made this pattern as a request from a co-worker.  What you do not see in the picture is that down the back seam of the boots is the words Cody Lane on them.

MATERIALS:
Worsted weight yarn:  Black and white
D crochet hook (adjust to change size of boots)
Tapestry needle

BOOTS (MAKE 2)
Rd 1:    With black, ch 14, 4 dc in fourth ch from hook, dc in next 8 ch, 9 dc in next ch working around ch, working in free loops of foundation ch, dc in next 8 ch, 4 dc in next ch, join with slip st to top of ch-3.  (34)
Rd 2:    Ch 3 (counts as first dc here and throughout), dc in same dc as beginning dc, 2 dc in next 4 dc, dc in next 8 dc, 2 dc in next 9 dc, dc in next 8 dc, 2 dc in next 4 dc, join.  (52)

SIDE STRIPS (MAKE 2 FOR EACH BOOT)

ASSEMBLY
Sew SIDE STRIPS using white forming a loop at top on each side of boot.  Refer to picture for embroidery.
