BOUQUET OF FLOWERS

My wife asked for some roses, but she wanted me to make them so that they would never die. MY wife requested me to make a bouquet of 7 roses and 1 lily. The flowers were made in a rainbow of colors. The flowers can be made with any color.

MATERIALS:
Worsted weight yarn: Flower color and green
B crochet hooks
Tapestry needle
Chenille stem
Floral wire


ROSE:
Rw 1: With flower color, ch 90, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across. (89)
Rw 2: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across. (89)
Rw 3: Ch 1, turn; sc in next sc, [skip next sc, (dc, ch 1, dc, ch 1, dc, ch 1, dc) in next sc, skip next sc, sc in next sc] 22 times.
Rw 4: Ch 1, turn; sc in next sc, (skip next dc, dc in next ch-1 sp, dc in next dc, dc in next ch-1 sp, dc in next dc, dc in next ch-1 sp, skip next dc, sc in next sc) 22 times.
Rw 5: Ch 1, turn; sc in next sc, (skip next dc, 2 dc in next dc, dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc, skip next dc, sc in next sc) 22 times.
Finish off leaving a long tail. Roll up ROSE and sew together making sure that you make completely secure it together.


LILY:
Rd 1: With flower color, ch 10, sc in second ch from hook, hdc in next 2 ch, dc in next 3 ch, tr in next 3 ch. (9)
Rds 2-6: Ch 10, sc in second ch from hook, hdc in next 2 ch, dc in next 3 ch, tr in next 3 ch. (9)
Rd 7: slip st in foundation of Rd 1, ch 1, working straight edge of Rds 1-6, (sc twice, sc2tog) around. (18)
Rd 8: (sc in next 7 sc, sc2tog) around. (16)
Rd 9: (sc in next 6 sc, sc2tog) around. (14)
Rd 10: (sc in next 5 sc, sc2tog) around. (12)
Rd 11: sc2tog around. (6)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Weave tail through sc of Rd 11, pull tightly and secure. Weave in ends. Fringe on 2 pieces of orange yarn in center of LILY.

GREEN FLOWER BOTTOM:
Rd 1: Working in bottom of rolled ROSE or LILY, attach green with slip st, ch 1, evenly sc 12 times around bottom of ROSE or LILY. (12)
Rd 2: (sc in next sc, sc2tog) around. (8)
Rd 3: sc2tog around. (4)
Finish off. Wave in ends.


STEM:
Rw 1: With green, ch 51, sc in second ch from hook and each ch across. (50)
Rws 2-4: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across. (50)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Using tail, sew seam closed. Insert chenille stem and floral wire and sew bottom of STEM closed. Weave in end. Using tail on GREEN FLOWER BOTTOM, sew STEM to GREEN FLOWER BOTTOM.
