BETTA FISH

This was my first attempt to make a Betta Fish is preparation in making on that looks like a Betta fish that a friend lost recently. I used teal and Aruba sea yarn to make this one, but it can be made on any color or combination of colors.

MATERIALS:
Worsted weight yarn: Body color and fin color
F crochet hook
Polyester fiberfill
Tapestry needle
6mm safety eyes

BODY:
Rd 1: With body color, 6 sc in magic ring. (6)
Rd 2: 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc. (8)
Rd 3: 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 6 sc, 2 sc in next sc. (10)
Rd 4: 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 8 sc, 2 sc in next sc. (12)
Rds 5-12: sc in each sc around. (12)
INSERT SAFETY EYES BETWEEN RDS 3 AND 4 WITH 3 SC BETWEEN EACH EYES.
BEGIN STUFFING BODY FIRMLY. CONTINUE STUFFING BODY FIRMLY AS YOU GO ALONG.

JACK SKELLINGTON

Jack Skellington is the first in a series of dolls based on the characters from Disney’s Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas. Some of the characters will be easier than others.

MATERIALS:
Worsted weight yarn: White and black.
D Crochet hook
Polyester fiberfill

My daughter saw a Tangela in the form of a bunch of grapes. She is crazy for Tangela and purple. She asked me if I could make a crocheted version. If you have not figured out by now that I cannot say no to my baby girl. The version I designed had purple grapes but could be made with green or red grapes as well.

BOUQUET OF FLOWERS

My wife asked for some roses, but she wanted me to make them so that they would never die. MY wife requested me to make a bouquet of 7 roses and 1 lily. The flowers were made in a rainbow of colors. The flowers can be made with any color.

HOT DOG MAN

This is the next food-based characters based on the characters on Valentine’s Day candies found at our local Target and Walmart. My daughter asked if could make my own version of them. This is Hot Dog Man pattern that I designed.

This is another character that my daughter asked me to make based on something that she saw at our local Walmart.

LITTLE BEE

Here is another addition to my “Little” animals collection that has been requested by my daughter. She saw that someone on Facebook posted a bag of crocheted bees. She asked if could make something similar. This is what I cam up with.

MATERIALS:
Worsted weight yarn: Yellow, black, and white
C crochet hook
Polyester fiberfill

#1019 HYDRAPPLE

Hydrapple is another Pokemon from the new game – Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Hydrapple is another Pokemon from my daughter ever-growing “To Do” list. Hydrapple has 1 head when it is in his Pokeball. Once Hydrapple is in a fight and does a move, 4 more heads come out of the apple body where the green Vs are on the body. This pattern includes the color lists for both Hydrapple and Shiny Hydrapple.

This is another character that my daughter asked me to make based on something that she saw at our local Walmart.

#1011 DIPPLIN

Dipplin is the next in I am sure a long list of Pokemon added to my daughter’s “To Do” list from Scarlet and Violet. Dipplin evolved from Applin using the Syrupy Apple. Dipplin will evolve into Hydrapple when it levels up knowing the move Dragon Cheer. Dipplin and Hydrapple were introduced into Scarlet and Violet using the latest DLC. This pattern includes the color list for both Dipplin and Shiny Dipplin.

Rush is the main character from the book “Lessons Learned: The Great African Wild Dog Story” by April Calderwood. CHUNKY SNAKE

This pattern is the same pattern that I used to make Ekans from the Pokemon games. In this version, I used bulky yarn to make it. The snake can be made using any color of yarn.

MATERIALS:
Bulky Yarn: Any color
Worsted weight yarn: Red
I crochet hook
Tapestry Needle
Poly-Fil®
15 mm yellow safety eyes
Optional: Floral wire

BODY:
Rd 1: With any color, 6 sc in magic ring. (6)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around. (12)
Rd 3: sc in each sc around. (12)
Rd 4: (2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc) around. (18)
