LITTLE MAGNABYTE

LITTLE MAGNABYTE

This is a miniature version of a character called Magnabtye.  Magnabyte is a Pokemon-styled creation of one of my customers from Etsy.  He has recently added a Stage 1 (Magnasaur) and Stage 2 (Magtitan) Evolution of Magnabyte. 

MATERIALS:

Worsted Weight Yarn:  red, black, yellow, buff, gray, purple, and white.

E crochet hook

Polyester fiberfill

Yarn Needle

LEGS (MAKE 2):

Rd 1:      With red, ch 5, 2 sc in second ch from hook, sc in next 2 ch, 4 sc in next ch working around ch, working in free loops of foundation ch, sc in next 2 ch, 2 sc in next ch.  (12)

Rd 2:      Working in back loops only, sc in each sc around.  (12)

Rd 3:      sc2tog, sc in next 2 sc, (sc2tog) twice, sc in next 4 sc.  (9)

Rd 4:      (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (12)

Rd 5:      (sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (15)

Finish off.  Weave in ends.

TOENAILS (MAKE 2):

Rw 1:     Working over sc of Rd 2 of LEGS centered in the front the LEGS, attach gray, (ch 2, sc in second ch from hook, slip st in next sc) 3 times.

Finish off.  Weave in ends.

BODY:

Rd 1:      Holding sc #11 of RIGHT LEG and sc #5 of LEFT LEG together and working through both thicknesses, sc in next 4 sc, sc in next 11 sc on RIGHT LEG, sc in next 11 sc on LEFT LEG.  (22)

Rds 2-3:                sc in each sc around.  (22)

Rd 4:      sc in next 10 sc, sc2tog, sc in next 10 sc.  (21)

Rd 5:      sc in each sc around.  (21)

Rd 6:      sc in next 10 sc, sc2tog, sc in next 9 sc.  (20)

Rds 7-8:                sc in each sc around.  (20)

Rd 9:      sc in next 10 sc, 2 sc in next sc, 3 sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 5 sc.  (28)

Rd 10:    sc in next 15 sc, (sc2tog) twice, sc in next 9 sc.  (26)

Rd 11:    sc in next 8 sc, (sc2tog) 8 times, sc in next 2 sc.  (18)

Rds 12-13:           sc in each sc around.  (18)

Rd 14:    (sc in next 4 sc, sc2tog) around.  (15)

Rd 15:    (sc in next sc, sc2tog) around.  (10)

STUFF BODY FIRMLY.

Rd 16:    sc2tog around.  (5)

Finish off leaving a long tail.  Weave tail through sc of Rd 16, pull tightly and secure.  Weave in ends.

STRIPES, MOUTH, TEETH, NOSTRILS, EYES AND EYEBROWS:

Using black, embroider STRIPES, MOUTH, TEETH and NOSTRILS on MAGNABYTE.  Using black, yellow, purple, and white, embroider EYES and EYEBROWS on MAGNABYTE.

HEAD HAIR:

Rw 1:     With black, ch 9, sc in second ch from hook, sc in next ch, (ch 4, sc in second ch from hook, sc in next 2 ch, sc in side last sc before ch-4, sc in next ch) 5 times, slip st in next ch.

Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew HEAD HAIR to BODY.  Weave in ends.

ARMS (MAKE 2):

Rd 1:      With red, ch 3, sc in second ch from hook, 3 sc in next ch working around ch, working in free loops of foundation ch, 2 sc in next ch.  (6)

Rds 2-6:                sc in each sc around.  (6)

Finish off leaving a long tail.  Stuff ARMS firmly.  Sew ARMS to BODY.  Using black, embroider stripes on ARMS.

FINGERNAILS:

Rw 1:     Working across Rd 1 of ARMS, attach gray, (ch 2, sc in second ch from hook, slip st in next sc) 3 times. 

Finish off.  Weave in ends.

BELLY:

Rw 1:     With buff, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook.  (4)

Rw 2:     Ch 1, turn; 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc.  (6)

Rw 3:     Ch 1, turn; sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 3 sc.  (7)

Rws 4-8:               Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across.  (7)

Rw 9:     Ch 1, turn; sc in next 2 sc, sc2tog, sc in next 3 sc.  (6)

Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew BELLY to BODY.

NECK DIAMONDS:

Using black, embroider NECK DIAMONDS around neck of LITTLE MAGNABYTE.

TAIL:

Rd 1:      With red, ch 2, (3 sc, change to buff, sc) in second ch from hook working around ch, slip st in first sc.  (4)

Rd 2:      Ch 1, turn; 2 sc in next sc, change to red, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc, slip st in first sc.  (7)

Rd 3:      Ch 1, turn; (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) twice, sc in next sc, change to buff, sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc, slip st in first sc.  (10)

Rd 4:      Ch 1, turn; sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc, change to red, sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 3 sc, slip st in first sc.  (12)

Rd 5:      Ch 1, turn; sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 3 sc, change to buff, sc in next 4 sc, slip st in first sc.  (13)

Rd 6:      Ch 1, turn; sc in next 4 sc, change to red, sc in next 9 sc, slip st in first sc.  (13)
