LITTLE SNAKE
This is the next animal in my continuing series large version and little version. This is the pattern for the little snake. The snake can be made in any color and with or without color change. I will indicate in the pattern when I changed colors but that is completely up to the person making the snake.
MATERIALS:
Worsted weight yarn: purple, yellow, black, and perfect pink.
E crochet hook
Polyester fiberfill
Tapestry needle
SNAKE:
Rd 1: With purple, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook working around ch. (4)
Rd 2: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (6)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (9)
Rd 4: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (12)
Rd 5: sc in each sc around. (12)
Rd 6: (sc in next 2 sc, sc2tog) around. (9)
Rd 7: sc in each sc around. (9)
Rd 8: (sc in next sc, sc2tog) around. (6) Change to yellow.
BEGIN STUFFING AT THIS POINT AND CONTINUE TO STUFF AS YOU GO.
Rds 9-10: sc in each sc around. (6) Change to purple.
Rds 11-30: sc in each sc around. (6) Change to yellow.
Rd 31: sc2tog, sc in next 4 sc. (5)
Rd 32: sc in each sc around. (5)
Rd 33: sc2tog, sc in next 3 sc. (4)
Rd 34: sc in next sc, sc2tog, sc in next sc. (3)
Finish off. Weave in ends.
MOUTH AND EYES:
Embroider mouth and eyes aon head of SNAKE.
TONGUE:
Rw 1: With perfect pink, ch 9, slip st in second ch from hook, slip in next ch, ch 3, slip st in second ch from hook, slip st in next ch, slip st in each remaining ch of original ch. Finish off. Sew to head at mouth line.
