LITTLE JASMINE

This is rendering of the famed Jasmine character from Disney’s Aladdin.  It is the continuing series of dolls depicting each of the Disney Princesses and Tinkerbell.

MATERIALS:
Worsted weight yarn:  Warm brown, black, turqua, and light blue.
Embroidery floss:  White, black, blue, gold and red
D and 6 crochet hook
Polyester fiberfill
Tapestry needle

DOLL:
Make Little Farrah doll with warm brown skin color and with black hair and black eyebrows.

TOP:
Rw 1: With turqua, ch 19, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across.  (18)
Rw 2: Ch 1, turn; sc in next 6 sc, 2 sc in next 5 sc, sc in next 7 sc.  (23)
Rw 3: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across.  (23)
Rw 4: Ch 1, turn; sc in next 4 sc, ch 4, skip next 2 sc, (sc2tog) 5 times, ch 4, skip next 2 sc, sc in next 5 sc.
Finish off leaving a long tail to sew back seam closed.

ARM WRAPS:
Rw 1: Starting one sc before armhole ch-4 place, attach turqua, ch 1, sc in same sc, sc in next 4 ch, sc in next sc.
Finish off.  Fold down and secure each end of strap.

PANTS:
Rw 1: With turqua, ch  16, hdc in third ch from hook, hdc in next 5 ch, 2 sc in next ch, hdc in next 7 ch.  (15)
FIRST LEG:
Rw 2: Ch 1, turn; sc in next 8 sts.  (8)  leaving remaining sts unworked.
Rws 3-7: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across.  (8)
Rw 8: Ch 1, turn; sc in next 3 sc, sc2tog, sc in next 3 sc.  (7)
Finish off leaving a long tail to sew leg seam closed.
SECOND LEG:
Rw 2: Attach turqua in first unworked sc, ch 1, sc in same sc, sc in next 7 sc.  (8)
Rws 3-8: Repeat Rows 3-8 of FIRST LEG.
WAIST EDGING:
Rw 1: Attach light blue in free loops of foundation ch of PANTS, ch 1, sc in same ch, sc in next 6 ch, sc2tog, sc in next 6 ch.
Finish off.

EARRINGS (MAKE 2):
With gold embroidery floss and Size 6 crochet hook, ch 2, sc in second ch from hook.  Finish off leaving a long tail to attach to ear.

NECKLACE:
With gold embroidery floss and Size 6 crochet hook, ch 30.  Finish off.

HEADBAND:
With turqua, ch 20, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across.  Finish off.

MEDALLION:
Rd 1: With blue embroidery floss and Size 6 crochet hook, ch 2, 5 sc in second ch from hook working around ch, slip st in first sc changing to gold.  (5)
Rd 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in each sc around, join.  (10)
Finish off leaving a long tail to secure MEDALLION to HEADBAND.

SHOES (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With turqua, ch 2, 5 sc in second ch from hook working around ch.  (5)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.  (10)
Rds 3-4: sc in each sc around.  (10)
NOW WORKING IN ROWS
Rw 5: Slip st in next sc, ch 1, sc in same sc as slip st, sc in next 2 sc, (sc2tog) twice, sc in next 3 sc.  (8) Finish off leaving a long tail to sew seam closed.

ASSEMBLY:
Place TOP on doll and sew back seam closed.  Place PANTS on doll and sew seams closed matching colors.  Sew EARRINGS to ears.  Wrap NECKLACE around neck and secure.  Attach MEDALLION to HEADBAND.  Place HEADBAND on head and secure in place.  Place SHOES on feet and sew seam closed.

Use embroidery floss to embroider face on doll.
