WELCOME MAT

 

This is a welcome mat using the same color pattern as the Bathmat that I made.  The only difference is that the Welcome Mat is only a half circle.  Making the Bathmat made a whole lot easier to make the Welcome mat.

MATERIALS:

Worsted weight yarn:  Light blue, clear blue (Michael’s Impeccable), light periwinkle, blue, royal, and navy blue.

Rd 1:      With light blue, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook.  (4)

BATHMAT

I was recently asked if I could make a Bathmat based on a picture that a customer on Etsy had found on the Internet.  The bathmat was basically 3 rounds of several shades of blue.  The customer asked if I could make it a little bigger than the one in the picture.  I used a double strand of each shade of blue to get the stiffness desired.  I also did 4 rounds of each shade of blue to make the bathmat bigger than the one I used as an example.  Most of the colors that I used for the BATHMAT are the Red Heart Super Saver Brand of yarn unless otherwise stated.
