This is a character inspired by the Pop-Tarts Man costume that a person was wearing for the Pop-Tarts Bowl back in December for college football. This version is of a Cookies & Cream Pop-Tarts. The icing is made with black crochet cotton held together with white yarn.
MATERIALS:
Worsted weight yarn: White, black, and red
E crochet hook
Polyester fiberfill
Tapestry needle
Black crochet cotton
1 set of 10mm safety eyes
ICING:
RWS 1-22 ARE DONE HOLDING WHITE YARN AND BLACK CROCHET COTTON TOGETHER.
Rw 1: With white, ch 17, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across. (16)
Rws 2-22: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across. (16)
Rd 23: Ch 1, sc evenly around outside edge of ICING with 3 sc in each corner.
Finish off. Using red, embroider mouth on ICING. Insert safety eyes in Rw 16 in sc #6 and #11. Weave in ends.
ARMS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With black, 8 sc in magic ring. (8)
Rd 2: (sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (10)
Rds 3-4: sc in each sc around. (10)
Rd 5: (sc in next 3 sc, sc2tog) around. (8)
Rd 6: sc in each sc around. (8)
Rd 7: (sc in next 2 sc, sc2tog) around. (6)
Rd 8: sc in each sc around. (6)
Finish off. Weave in ends. Stuff ARMS firmly.
LEGS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With black, 8 sc in magic ring. (8)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around. (16)
Rds 3-4: sc in each sc around. (16)
Rd 5: sc in next 5 sc, (sc2tog) 3 times, sc in next 5 sc. (13)
Rd 6: sc in next 4 sc, (sc2tog) 3 times, sc in next 3 sc. (10)
Rds 7-8: sc in each sc around. (10)
Finish off. Weave in ends. Stuff LEGS firmly.
BACK:
Rw 1: With black, ch 17, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across. (16)
Rws 2-22: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across. (16)
Rd 23: Ch 1, sc evenly around outside edge of BACK with 3 sc in each corner.
Rd 24: Ch 2, turn; holding BACK and ICING together and working through the back loop only of ICING and both loops of BACK, 5 dc in next sc, dc in next 16 sc, 5 dc in next sc, dc in next 10 sc, holding BACK, flattened ARM and ICING together and working through the back loop only of ICING and both loops of BACK and ARM, dc in next 3 sc, holding BACK and ICING together and working through the back loop only of ICING and both loops of BACK, dc in next 9 sc, 5 dc in next sc, dc in next 2 sc, holding BACK, flattened LEG and ICING together and working through the back loop only of ICING and both loops of BACK and LEG, dc in next 5 sc, holding BACK and ICING together and working through the back loop only of ICING and both loops of BACK, dc in next 2 sc, holding BACK, flattened LEG and ICING together and working through the back loop only of ICING and both loops of BACK and LEG, dc in next 5 sc, holding BACK and ICING together and working through the back loop only of ICING and both loops of BACK, dc in next 2 sc, 5 dc in next sc, dc in next 9 sc, holding BACK, flattened ARM and ICING together and working through the back loop only of ICING and both loops of BACK and ARM, dc in next 3 sc, holding BACK and ICING together and working through the back loop only of ICING and both loops of BACK, dc in next 10 sc, slip st in first dc.
