XURKITREE

This is the next in a very long list from a Pokemon-obsessed Etsy customer of mine.  This was an interesting Pokemon to make since it was This pattern includes the color list for Xurkitree and Shiny Xurkitree.

MATERIALS:

Worsted Weight Yarn (Shiny alternative in parenthesis):  Black (Blue), white, and gold.

E crochet hook

Polyester Fiberfil

Tapestry needle

Floral wire

black and white chenille stems

FINGERS (MAKE 12):

Rd 1:      With gold, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook working around ch.  (4)

Rds 2-8:                sc in each sc around.  (4)

Finish off.  Weave in ends.  Insert chenille stem in each FINGER.

HANDS AND ARMS (MAKE 2):

Rd 1:      With gold, 6 sc in magic ring.  (6)

Rd 2:      2 sc in each sc around.  (12)

Rd 3:      (holding next sc on HAND and first sc on FINGER together and working through both thicknesses, sc in next 2 sc) 6 times.  (12)

Rd 4:      (sc in next 2 sc on FINGER) 6 times.  (12)  Change to black.

Rd 5:      sc in each sc around.  (12)  Change to white.

Rd 6:      sc in each sc around.  (12)

Rd 7:      working over sc of Rd 6, sc in each sc around.  (12)  Change to black.

ARM CORD 1:

Rd 8:      sc in next 3 sc, skip next 6 sc, sc in next 3 sc.  (6)

Rds 9-17:              sc in each sc around.  (6)

Finish off.  Weave in ends.  Stuff ARM CORD firmly.

ARM CORD 2 AND UPPER ARM:

Rd 8:      skip next 3 sc, attach black in next sc, ch 1, sc in same sc as attachment, sc in next 3 sc, sc in next 3 unworked sc.  (6)

Rds 9-17:              sc in each sc around.  (6) Change to white after Rd 17.

BEGIN STUFFING ARMS FIRMLY.  CONTINUE STUFFING ARMS FIRMLY AS YOU GO ALONG.

Rd 18:    sc in next 6 sc on ARM CORD 2, sc in next 6 sc on ARM CORD 1.  (12)

Rd 19:    working over sc of Rd 18, sc in each sc around.  (12)  Change to black.

Rd 20:    sc in each sc around.  (12)

Rd 21:    (sc in next 4 sc, sc2tog) around.  (10)

Rds 22-27:           sc in each sc around.  (10)  Change to white after Rd 27.

Rd 28:    sc in each sc around.  (10)

Rd 29:    working over sc of Rd 28, sc in each sc around.  (10)  Change to white.

Rds 30-31:           sc in each sc around.  (10)

Finish off.  Weave in ends.

TAIL FACE PLATES (MAKE 3):

Rd 1:      With gold, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook working around ch.  (4)

Rds 2-3:                sc in each sc around.  (4)  Change to black.

Rd 4:      2 sc in each sc around.  (8)

Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew TAIL FACE PLATES together.

TAIL CORD:

Rw 1:     With black, ch 16, sc in second ch from hook.  (15)

Rws 2-4:               Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across.  (15)

Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew Rw 1 and Rw 4 together. 

TAIL:

Rd 1L     Working around outside of edge of TAIL FACE PLATES, (2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc, sc in next 2 joining sc, sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (24)

Rd 2:      Working in back loops only, sc in each sc around.  (24)                        

Rds 3-4:                sc in each sc around.  (24)

Rd 5:      (sc in next 6 sc, sc2tog) around.  (21)

Rd 25:    working over sc of Rd 21, sc in each sc around.  (10)  Change to black.

Rd 38:    (sc in next 3 sc, sc2tog) around.  (8)  Change to white.

Rd 39:    sc in next 3 sc, holding next sc on TAIL and flatten side of TAIL CORD together and working through all thicknesses, sc in next 2 sc, sc in next 3 sc on TAIL.  (8)

Rd 40:    working over sc of Rd 39, sc in each sc around.  (8)  Change to black.

Rds 41-53:           sc in each sc around.  (8)

Finish off.  Weave in ends.

SMALL TOES (MAKE 4):

Rd 1:      With gold, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook working around ch.  (4)

Rd 2:      sc in each sc around.  (4)  Change to black.

Rds 3-6:                sc in each sc around.  (4)

Finish off.  Weave in ends.  Insert chenille stem. 

PRANGS (MAKE 4):

Rd 1:      With gold, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook working around ch.  (4)

Rd 2:      sc in each sc around.  (4)

Finish off.  Weave in ends.

LEGS (MAKE 2):

Rd 1:      With black, ch 5, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across.  (4)

Rd 2:      Working in free loops of foundation ch, sc in next ch, holding same ch as last sc and first sc on PRANGS together and working through both thicknesses, sc in next 2 sc, holding next ch on LEGS and first sc on PRANGS together and working through both thicknesses, sc in next 2 sc, , sc in same ch as last sc on LEGS, working in sc of Rd 1, sc in next sc, (holding same sc as last sc and sc #3 of PRANGS together and working through both thicknesses, sc in next 2 sc, holding next sc on LEGS and #3 on PRANGS together and working through both thicknesses, sc in next 2 sc, sc in same sc last sc on LEGS.  (12)

Finish off in first LEG.  DO NOT FINISH OFF in second LEG.  Change to white after completing second LEG.

BODY:

Rd 1:      sc in next 6 sc on second LEG, sc in next 10 sc on first LEG starting with sc #2, sc in next 4 sc on second LEG.  (20)

Rd 2:      working over sc of Rd 1, sc in each sc around.  (20)  Change to black.

Rd 1:      With white, ch 3, 2 sc in second ch from hook, 3 sc in next ch working around ch, working in free loops of foundation ch, sc in next ch, slip st in first sc.  (6)

Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew a TAG to each white band that is on XURKITREE.  Weave in ends.

HEAD PIECES (MAKE 11):

Rd 1:      With white, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook working around ch.  (4)

Rd 2:      (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (6)

Rd 3:      (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (8)

Rd 4:      sc in each sc around.  (8)

Rd 5:      (sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (10)

Rd 6:      sc in each sc around.  (10)

Rd 7:      (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (15)

Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew HEAD PIECE together.  Stuff HEAD firmly.  Sew HEAD to BODY.  Weave in ends.
