CRYSTAL BEAST RUBY CARBUNCLE

 

This is addition to my Yu-Gi-Oh! crochet pattern collection thanks to an Etsy customer.  Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle reminds me a lot of Espeon from the game of Pokemon.

MATERIALS:

Worsted Weight Yarn:  Delft blue, red, white, black, light blue, rose, and burgundy.

E crochet hook

Fiberfil

Yarn Needle

OPTIONAL:  Floral wire

BODY:

Rd 1:      With delft blue, 9 sc in magic ring.  (9)

Rd 2:      2 sc in each sc around.  (18)

Rd 3:      (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (27)

Rd 4:      sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc, (sc in next 6 sc, 2 sc in next sc) 3 times.  (31)

Rd 5:      sc in next 6 sc, 2 sc in next sc, (sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc) 4 times.  (36)

Rds 6-25:              sc in each sc around.  (36)

Rd 26:    (sc in next 4 sc, sc2tog) around.  (30)

Rd 27:    (sc in next 3 sc, sc2tog) around.  (24)

Finish off leaving a long tail.  Weave tail through sc of Rd 24, pull tightly and secure.  Sew FRONT LEGS to BODY.  Weave in ends.

TOES (MAKE 2):

Rw 1:     With delft blue, ch 2, sc in second ch from hook, ch 4, sc in second ch from hook, (ch 2, sc in second ch from hook) 3 times. 

Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew TOES to FRONT LEGS.  Weave in ends.

SIDEBURNS (MAKE 2):
Rw 1:     With delft blue, ch 4, sc in second ch from hook, hdc in next ch, dc in next ch.  (3)

Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew SIDEBURNS to each side of HEAD just below second EAR.  Weave in ends.

TAIL BALL:

Rd 1:      With red, 6 sc in magic ring.  (6)

Rd 2:      2 sc in each sc around.  (12)

Rd 3:      (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (18)
