LADYBUG

One of the nurses at the hospital that my wife was in has requested a list of plush. Fortunately, this is the only plush that was requested that I have not made a plush of before. The nurse made a request that the ladybug have eyelashes since it is a lady. I simply bought some fake eyelashes and glued them on. I did not put that in the instructions.

MATERIALS:
Worsted weight yarn: red and black
F crochet hook.
Polyester fiberfill
Tapestry needle
Set of 10mm safety eyes

BODY:
Rd 1: With red, 6 sc in magic ring. (6)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around. (12)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (18)
Rd 4: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (24)
Rd 5: sc in each sc around. (24)
Rd 6: (sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (30)

Finish off leaving a long tail. Weave tail through sc of Rd 24, pull tightly and secure. Using black, embroider the dividing line. Weave in ends.

SPOTS (MAKE 6):
Rd 1: With black, 6 sc in magic ring. (6)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around. (12)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Sew 3 SPOTS on each side of the dividing line. Weave in ends.

LEGS (MAKE 6):
Rd 1: With black, 6 sc in magic ring. (6)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around. (12)
Rd 3: sc in each sc around. (12)
STUFF LEGS FIRMLY.
Rd 4: sc2tog around. (6)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Weave tail through sc of Rd 4, pull tightly and secure. Sew LEGS to BODY. Weave in ends.

HEAD:
Rd 1: With black, 6 sc in magic ring. (6)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around. (12)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (18)
