#854 SINISTEA

This is a request from a customer on Etsy. Sinistea is another Pokemon from the new Sword and Shield or “Generation 8” game. Sinistea is another Pokemon on my daughter’s “To Do” list that she began putting together with Pokemon Go came out. She has added several when Pokemon Sun and Moon and Pokemon Sword and Shield both came out. This pattern includes the color lists for both Sinistea and Shiny Sinistea.

MATERIALS:
Worsted Weight Yarn (Shiny colors in parenthesis): Aruba sea (lilac), white, jade (lavender), medium purple, and gold.
B crochet hook
Polyester Fiberfil
Tapestry needle

TEA:
Rd 1: With medium purple, 8 sc in magic ring. (8)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around. (16)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (24)
Rd 4: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (32)
Rd 5: (sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (40)
Rd 6: (sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (48)
Rd 7: (sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (56)
Finish off. Using gold, embroider swirl on TEA. Weave in ends.

PATCH:

STUFF TEACUP FIRMLY.
Rd 17: Holding first Aruba Sea sc to the left of left eye and sc #19 of TEA together and working through both thicknesses, attach jade, ch 1, sc in same sc as attachment, sc in next 28 sc, holding next sc on TEACUP and next sc on TEA and first sc on PATCH together and working through all thicknesses, sc in next 6 sts, holding next sc on TEACUP and next sc on TEA together and working through both thicknesses, sc in next 16 sc. (51) Change to gold.
Rd 18: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc around. (51)
Finish off. Weave in ends.

TEACUP MARKINGS:
Using jade, embroider TEACUP MARKINGS on TEACUP.


TEACUP BOTTOM:
Rd 1: Working over sc of Rd 4 of TEACUP, attach white, ch 1, sc in same sc as attachment, sc in each sc around, slip st in first sc. (32)
Rd 2: Ch 1, (sc in next 7 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around, slip st in first sc changing to gold. (36)
Rd 3: Ch 1, sc in each sc around, slip st in first sc. (36)
Finish off. Weave in ends.

TONGUE:
Rd 1: With medium purple, ch 8, sc in second ch from hook, sc in next 5 ch, 4 sc in next ch working around ch, working in free loops of foundation ch, sc in next 6 ch. (16)
Rd 2: Ch 1, turn; sc in next 6 sc, 2 sc in next 4 sc, sc in next 6 sc. (20)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Using gold, embroider the center of TONGUE. Sew TONGUE to TEACUP space unworked. Weave in ends.

HANDLE:
Rd 1: With white, 6 sc in magic ring. (6)
Rds 2-5: sc in each sc around. (6)
Rd 6: sc in each sc around, slip st in first sc changing to medium purple. (6)
Rd 7: Ch 1, 2 sc in next sc, change to white, sc in next 2 sc, change to medium purple, 2 sc in next sc, change to white, sc in next 2 sc, slip st in first sc. (8)
