This Llama was a request from an unexpected connection that I made due to having to buy a new car. While waiting for the inspection to be completed on the van I was purchasing, I got to talking to the saleswoman about what I did for a living. I told her about Crochet Fanatic. She asked if I could make a llama for her. I said “of course.” Here is the pattern that I came up with
MATERIALS:
Worsted Weight Yarn: Pewter, gray and black.
F crochet hook
Polyester fiberfill
Yarn needle
10 mm brown safety eyes
LEGS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With gray, 6 sc in magic ring. (6)
Rd 2: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (9)
Rds 3-5: sc in each sc around. (9) Change to pewter after Rd 5.
Rd 6: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (12)
Rds 7-13: sc in each sc around. (12)
Finish off. Weave in ends. Stuff LEGS firmly.

EARS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With pewter, 6 sc in magic ring. (6)
Rds 2-5: sc in each sc around. (6)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Sew EARS to head. Weave in ends.
HAIR:
Cut some short strands of yarn and attach them on the head in the space between the ears. Use a needle to fray the yarn by running the yarn needle through each strand.
TAIL:
Attach pewter in center of back, ch 2, popcorn st (made up of 5dc) and ch 2, slip st in same sc as attachment. Finish off. Weave in ends.
MOUTH:
Using black, embroider MOUTH.
