GALARIAN MOLTRES

With the introduction of the Galarian versions of some of the previous Generations of Pokemon. So far, I have only made the Galarian version of Slowbro before Galarian Moltres. This pattern includes the color lists for both Moltres and Shiny Moltres.

MATERIALS:

Worsted Weight Yarn (Shiny alternative in parenthesis): Black (yellow), shocking pink (flame), baby pink (orange), perfect pink (golden yellow), white and delft blue.
B crochet hook
Polyester fiberfill
Yarn Needle
Floral wire
Optional: Chenille stem cut in half

BODY:
Rd 1: With black, 6 sc in magic ring. (6)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around. (12)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (18)
Rd 4: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (24)
Rd 5: (sc in next 7 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (27)
Rd 6: (sc in next 8 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (30)
Rd 7: (sc in next 9 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (33)
Rd 8: (sc in next 10 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (36)

BEGIN STUFFING BODY FIRMLY. CONTINUE ADDING STUFFING AS YOU GO ALONG.
Rds 26-40: sc in each sc around. (12)
Rd 41: (sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (15)
Rd 42: (sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (18)
Rds 43-48: sc in each sc around. (18)
Rd 49: (sc in next sc, sc2tog) around. (12)
Rd 50: sc in each sc around. (12)
Rd 51: sc2tog around. (6)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Weave tail through sc of Rd 51, pull tightly and secure. Weave in ends.

BELLY:
Rw 1: With shocking pink, ch 2, 2 sc in second ch from hook. (2)
Rws 2-12: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across. (2)
Rw 13: Ch 1, turn; 2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc. (3)
Rws 14-17: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across. (3)
Rw 18: Ch 1, turn; 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc. (4)
Rws 19-22: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across. (4)
Rw 23: Ch 1, turn; 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 3 sc. (5)
Rws 24-2=36: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across. (5)
Rw 37: Ch 1, turn; sc2tog, sc in next 3 sc. (4)
Rw 38: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across. (4)
Rw 39: Ch 1, turn; sc in next 2 sc, sc2tog. (3)
Rw 40: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across. (3)
Rw 41: Ch 1, turn; sc2tog, sc in next sc. (2)
Rw 42: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across. (2)

Finish off leaving a long tail. Sew BELLY to BODY. Weave in ends.

TOES (MAKE 6):
Rd 1: With black, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook working around ch. (4) Change to shocking pink.
Rds 2-5: sc in each sc around. (4)
Finish off in first 2 TOES for each FOOT. DO NOT FINISH OFF in third TOE for each FOOT.

FOOT (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: sc in next 2 sc on third TOE, sc in next 2 sc on first TOE, sc in next 4 sc on second TOE, sc in next 2 sc on first TOE, sc in next 2 sc on third TOE. (12)
Rd 2: sc in each sc around. (12)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, sc2tog) around. (8)
Rd 4: sc in each sc around. (8)
Rd 5: sc2tog around. (4)
Rds 6-7: sc in each sc around. (4) Change to black after Rd 7.
Rd 8: sc in each sc around. (4)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Weave tail through sc of Rd 8, pull tightly and secure. Weave in ends. Optional: Run chenille stem where LEGS will be attached to give the LEGS flexibility.

LEGS (MAKE 2):
Rw 1: With shocking pink, ch 9, sc in second ch from hook, sc in each ch across. (8)
Rws 2-4: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across. (8)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Sew Rw 1 and Rw 4 together. Sew LEGS to FEET. Weave in ends.

HIPS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: Working in end of Rows of LEGS, attach black with slip st in any row, ch 1, sc in same row, 2 sc in next row, sc in next row, 2 sc in next row. (6)
Rd 2: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (9)
Rd 3: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (12)
Rd 4: (sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (15)
Rds 5-9: sc in each sc around. (15)
BEGIN STUFFING HIPS FIRMLY. CONTINUE STUFFING HIPS FIRMLY AS YOU GO ALONG.
Rd 10: (sc in next sc, sc2tog) around. (10)
Rd 11; sc2tog around. (5)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Sew HIPS to BODY. Weave in ends.

HEAD FLAME:
Fringe on pieces of black, shocking pink, and perfect pink 2 sc wide and 4 rounds deep on top of HEAD with the first row being only black. I separated the plies of each pieces of yarn.

HEAD CURL:
Fringe on half-sized pieces of black in 2 sc before HEAD FLAME.

BEAK:
Rd 1: With shocking pink, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook working around ch. (4)
Rds 2-3: sc in each sc around. (4)
Rd 4: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (6)
Rds 5-6: sc in each sc around. (6)
Rd 7: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (8)
Rds 8-9 sc in each sc around. (8)
Rd 10: sc in next 4 sc, ch 4, sc in second ch from hook, sc in next 2 ch, sc in next 4 sc, ch 4, sc in second ch from hook, sc in next 2 ch.
Finish off leaving a long tail. Sew BEAK to BODY adding a small amount of stuffing before closing. Weave in ends.


HEAD MARKINGS AND EYES:
Using shocking pink, embroider HEAD MARKINGS on GALARIAN MOLTRES. Using delft blue and white, embroider EYES on GALARIAN MOLTRES.

 

TAIL:
Rd 1: With black, ch 6, 2 sc in second ch from hook, sc in next 3 ch, 4 sc in next ch working around ch, working in free loops of foundation ch, sc in next 3 ch, 2 sc in next ch. (14)
Rds 2-10: sc in each sc around. (14)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Sew TAIL to BODY. Weave in ends. Fringe pieces of black, shocking pink, perfect pink, and baby pink yarn through sc of Rd 1. I separated the plies of the yarn.

WINGS (MAKE 2):
Rw 1: With black, ch 2, sc in second ch from hook. (1)
Rw 2: Ch 1, turn; 2 sc in next sc. (2)
Rw 3: Ch 1, sc2tog, sc in same sc as last st. (2)
Rw 4: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across. (2)
Rw 5: Ch 1, turn; 2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc. (3)
Rw 6: Ch 1, turn; 2 sc in each sc across. (6)
Rws 7-12: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across. (6)
Rw 13: Ch 1, turn; 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 5 sc. (7)
Rws 14-19: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across. (7)
Rw 20: Ch 1, turn; sc in next 6 sc, 2 sc in next sc. (8)
Rw 21: Ch 1, turn; sc2tog, sc in next 6 sc. (7)
Rws 22-24: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across. (7)

TOP EDGING: Working over a piece of floral wire, attach gold with slip st in the side of Rw 4, ch 1, sc in the side of next 15 rows, 3 sc in next row, sc in next 16 rows.
Finish off leaving a long tail. Sew WINGS to BODY. Weave in ends.


WING FLAME:
Starting at Rw 4 and working along straight edge of WINGS until Rw 33, fringe on shocking pink, perfect pink, and baby pink yarn randomly with a 2 half-sized black piece fringed on above every fifth set of 2. I separated the plies of the yarn to cause the yarn to blend.
