Bowser was not an easy character to make. I found a pattern for done by Shelly Hedko (Epic Yarn) on her blog (https://epic-yarns.com/2011/10/04/bowser/). I have made a few modifications to her pattern to make some of the pieces to be seamless. In this pattern, I also used a smaller hook than her pattern to make him smaller. I hate using felt in my patterns. So, I am also going to figure out a way to eliminate using felt in my version.
MATERIALS:
Worsted weight yarn: White, green, gold, gray, red, black, burnt pumpkin, buff.
E crochet hook
Polyester Fiberfill
Tapestry needle
MOUTH BALLS (MAKE 4):
Rd 1: With buff, 6 sc in magic ring. (6)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around. (12)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (18)
Rds 4-5: sc in each sc around. (18)
Rd 6: (sc in next sc, sc2tog) around. (12)
STUFF MOUTH BALLS FIRMLY.
Rd 7: sc2tog around. (6)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Weave tail through sc of Rd 7, pull tightly and secure. Weave in ends. Sew 2 MOUTH BALLS together.
NOSE:
Rd 1: With buff, 6 sc in magic ring. (6)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around. (12)
Rd 3: sc in each sc around. (12)
STUFF NOSE FIRMLY.
Rd 4: sc2tog around. (6)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Weave tail through sc of Rd 4, pull tightly and secure. Sew NOSE to the sewn together MOUTH BALLS. Weave in ends.
UPPER LIPS BRIDGES (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With buff, 6 sc in magic ring. (6)
Rds 2-5: sc in each sc around. (6)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Sew each end UPPER LIPS BRIDGES to MOUTH BALL stuffing firmly before closing. Weave in ends.
LOWER LIP:
Rd 1: With buff, 8 sc in magic ring. (8)
Rds 2-24: sc in each sc around. (8)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Sew each end of LOWER LIP to MOUTH BALLS stuffing firmly before closing. Weave in ends.
HEAD:
Rd 1: With green, 7 sc in magic ring. (7)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around. (14)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (21)
