CALLISTA DRAGON

This is the continuation of a series of dragons that are custom designed by a customer on Etsy. They are from a series of stories that she is developing called Fragile—A Tale of Dragon Refugees. So far, there are 5 dragons in the series. I would not be surprised if there are more in the future. Callista is a Empress of the country. She has two daughters—Cadence and Chance.

TAIL RING 1:

Finish off leaving a long tail. Wrap TAIL RING 1 around tail section of BODY and sew together. Weave in ends. Glue 2 10mm and 4 4mm gems on TAIL RING 1.

TAIL RING 2:
Rw 1: With gold, ch 15, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across. (14)
Rw 2: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across. (14)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Wrap TAIL RING 2 around tail section of BODY and sew together. Weave in ends. Glue 2 10mm and 4 4mm gems on TAIL RING 2.

TAIL CHAIN:
With gold, ch 40. Finish off leaving a long tail. Sew one of TAIL CHAIN to TAIL RING 1. Wrap TAIL CHAIN around tail and sew to TAIL RING 2. Weave in ends.

With gold, ch 4. Finish off. Attach 2 HEAD FIN RINGS above and 2 HEAD FIN RINGS below center stripe on HEAD FIN. Weave in ends.

FOREHEAD FIN 1:
Rw 1: With burgundy, ch 5, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across. (4)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Sew FOREHEAD FIN 1 to HEAD. Weave in ends.

FOREHEAD FIN 2:

EYES, MOUTH, NOSTRILS, AND TEETH:
Using white, gold, pewter, and gray, embroider EYES on HEAD. Using black, embroider MOUTH and NOSTRILS on HEAD. Using white, embroider TEETH on HEAD.

EYEBROWS:
Rw 1: With taupe, ch 5, sc in second ch from hook, 2 sc in next ch, sc in next 2 sc. (5)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Sew EYEBROWS to HEAD. Weave in ends.

HORNS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With burgundy, ch 2, 4 sc in magic ring. (4)
Rds 2-9: sc in each sc around. (4)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Stuff HORNS firmly. Sew HORNS to HEAD. Weave in ends.

HORN RINGS (MAKE 6):
With gold, ch 9.
Finish off leaving a long tail. Wrap 3 HORN RINGS around each HORNS and sew together. Weave in ends. Glue 1 4mm gem to each of the bottom 2 HORN RINGS on each HORN.

Rw 1: With lilac, ch 2, sc in second ch from hook. (1)
Rw 2: Ch 1, turn; sc in next sc. (1)

Finish off leaving a long tail.
OUTER EARS (MAKE 2):
Rw 1: With taupe, ch 2, sc in second ch from hook. (1)

Finish off leaving a long tail. Wrap around neck and sew together. Weave in ends. Glue 3 10mm and 10 4mm Gems to NECKLACE.

NECKLACE CHAINS (MAKE 3):
With gold, ch 8. Finish off. Attach NECKLACE CHAIN to where 10mm Gems were glued to NECKLACE. Weave in ends.

WING ARMS (COMPLETE ON BOTH WINGS):
