BANCHOLEOMON

Here is another request from a customer on Etsy that is currently on a bit of a Digimon run. He has ordered several Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh! characters in the past. Bancholeomon is a humanoid lion who have been styled after the modern Banchō, a particular type of juvenile delinquent.

MATERIALS:
Worsted Weight Yarn: Gold, buff, off white, red, pewter, charcoal, white, black, perfect pink, gray, and brass (Impeccable--gold).
B crochet hook
Polyester fiberfill
Yarn Needle
1 black chenille stem

THUMBS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With gold, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook working around ch. (4)
Rd 2: sc in each sc around. (4)
Finish off. Weave in ends. Using black, embroider nails on THUMBS. Stuff THUMBS firmly.

ARMS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With gold, ch 5, sc in second ch from hook, sc in next 2 ch, 2 sc in next ch working around ch, working in free loops of foundation ch, sc in next 3 ch. (8)
Rds 2-4: sc in each sc around. (8)
Rd 5: sc in next sc, sc in next 4 sc on THUMBS, sc in next 7 sc. (12)

Finish off. Weave in ends. Sew HAND GUARDS to WRIST WRAPS. Wrap WRIST WRAPS around ARMS and sew together. Weave in ends.

Finish off leaving a long tail. Sew MUZZLE to head of BODY stuffing before closing. Weave in ends.

EYES, NOSE, AND MOUTH:
Using white and black, embroider EYES on head of BANCHOLEOMON. Using black, embroider NOSE and MOUTH on MUZZLE of BANCHOLEOMON.

EARS (MAKE 2):
Rw 1: With buff, ch 2, sc in second ch from hook. (1) Change to gold.
Rw 2: Ch 1, turn; work 5 sc around Rw 1. (5)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Sew EARS to BODY. Weave in ends.

PANTS:
Rw 1: With charcoal, ch 33, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across. (32)
Rws 2-3: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across. (32) Change to navy blue after Rw 3.
Rws 4-10: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across. (32)
Rw 11: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across, slip st in first sc. (32)
Finish off. Weave in ends.

TOP EDGE OF PANTS:
Rw 1: Working in free loops of foundation ch, attach navy blue, (ch 2, sc in second ch from hook, skip next ch, slip st in next ch) around. (32)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Using gray, embroider belt buckle on PANTS. Using navy blue, embroider belt loops on PANTS.

RIGHT PANT LEG:
Rd 1: With right side facing, skip next 8 sc, attach navy blue in next sc, ch 1, sc in same sc as attachment, sc in next 7 sc, skip next 16 sc, sc in next 8 sc. (16)
Rws 2-9: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc around. (16) Change to pewter after Rw 9.

Finish off leaving a long tail.

LEFT PANTS LEG:

TAIL FLUFF:
Fringe on pieces of buff yarn to end of TAIL.

Finish off. Sew COLLAR to JACKET TOP. Weave in ends. Using brass, embroider star on COLLAR.

BUTTONS ON JACKET:
Using brass, embroider 3 BUTTONS on each side of JACKET.

COLLAR RINGS (MAKE 2):
With brass, ch 6. Finish off. Weave first COLLAR RING through COLLAR and tie off. Weave second COLLAR RING through first COLLAR RING and tie off.

CHAIN:
Attach a double strand of gray to second COLLAR RING, ch 30. Finish off.

VISOR FRONT:
Rw 1: With red, ch 7, sc in second ch from hook, sc in next ch, hdc in next 2 ch, sc in next 2 ch. (6)
Rws 2-3: Ch 1, turn; sc in each st across. (6) Change to gold after Rw 3.
Rw 4: Ch 1, working in the side of Rws, sc in next 2 Rws, 3 sc in next corner, working in free loops of foundation ch, sc in next ch, 2 sc in next 2 ch, sc in next ch, 3 sc in next corner, working in the side of Rws, sc in next 2 Rws.

VISOR BILL:
Rw 1: With black, ch 20, working in the side of Rw 3 of VISOR FRONT, ch 1, sc in same Rw as attachment, working in front loops only, sc in next 6 sc, (sc, ch 1, slip st) in the side of Rw 3, ch 20. Finish off.
Rw 2: Attach black in last sc of Rw 1, ch 1, sc in same sc as attachment, sc in next 7 sc. (8)
Rw 3: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across. (8)
Rw 4: Ch 1, turn; sc2tog, sc in next 4 sc, sc2tog. (6)
Finish off. Weave in ends. Wrap VISOR around head of BANCHOLEOMON and tie together and secure. Weave in ends.

BRANCH:
Use black chenille to create BRANCH. Attach it to side of MOUTH.
