KORIZU

Korizu is another original creation from the mind of my Etsy customer in Georgia. He has been having take pictures that he has been drawing. Some of the characters have been particularly challenging. Fortunately, Korizu is not one of those.

MATERIALS:
Worsted weight yarn: Buff, gold, red, black, white, and gray.
Size 6 and E Crochet hook
Polyester fiberfill
Tapestry needle
White and yellow crochet cotton
Letter beads that spells her name
10 clear pearls
Wooden skewer (cut into small pieces to put in guns)

ARMS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With buff, 6 sc in magic ring. (6)
Rd 2: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (8) Change to black.
Rds 3-4: sc in each sc around. (8)
Rd 5: (sc, change to buff, 2 sc) in next sc, (2 sc, change to black, sc) in next sc, sc in next 6 sc. (12)

Finish off. Weave in ends.
OUTER EARS (MAKE 2):
Rw 1: With red, ch 2, 2 sc in second ch from hook. (2)
Rw 2: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across. (2)
Rw 3: Ch 1, turn; 2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc. (3)
Rd 4: Holding INNER EARS and OUTER EARS together and working through both thicknesses, working in the side of Rws, ch 1, sc in next 3 Rws, 2 sc in free loop of foundation ch, sc in next 3 Rws.
Finish off leaving a long tail. Sew EARS to KORIZU. Weave in ends.

HAIR:
Fringe long pieces of red yarn on back of head and short pieces of red yarn on front of head on KORIZU.

Finish off leaving a long tail. Wrap NECK BELT around neck of BODY and sew together. Weave in ends.

HAIR CLIP:
Rd 1: With white crochet cotton and Size 6 crochet hook, ch 3, 2 sc in second ch from hook, 4 sc in next ch working around ch, working in free loops of foundation ch, 2 sc in next ch. (8)
Rd 2: (ch 3, skip next sc, 2 sc in next 3 sc) around.
Rd 3: 3 sc in next ch-3 sp, sc in next sc, (sc, ch 2, sc in second ch from hook, sc) in next sc, sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc, (sc, ch 2, sc in second ch from hook, sc) in next sc, sc in next sc , 3 sc in next ch-3 sp, slip st in next sc, ch 3, sc in second ch from hook, sc in next ch, skip next sc, slip st in next sc, ch 3, sc in second ch from hook, sc in next ch, slip st in next sc, ch 3, sc in second ch from hook, sc in next sc, skip next sc, slip st in next sc.
Finish off. Weave in ends.

HAIR CLIP BAND:
Rw 1: With black, ch 21, slip st in second ch from hook, sc in next 18 ch, slip st in next ch. (20)
Finish off. Weave in ends. Feed each end of HAIR CLIP BAND through the ch-3 sp on each side of HAIR CLIP wrapping around back hair to bunch hair at top of head right between ears.

UPPER ARM BANDS (MAKE 2):
Rw 1: With black, ch 16, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across. (15)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Wrap around upper ARM and sew together. Weave in ends.

BRACELET (MAKE 2):
Rw 1: With gold, ch 14, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across. (13)
Rw 2: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across. (13)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Wrap around wrist and sew together. Weave in ends. Using gray, embroider spikes on BRACELETS.

BRA CENTER RING:
With gold, ch 6, slip st in first ch to form a ring. Finish off. Weave in ends.

BRA SIDES (MAKE 2):
Rw 1: Working over BRA CENTER RING, attach gold, ch 1, sc, change to black, 3 sc, change to gold, sc. (5)
Rw 2: Ch 1, turn; sc in next sc, change to black, sc in next 3 sc, change to gold, sc in next sc. (5)
Rw 3: Ch 1, turn; sc in next sc, change to black, sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc, change to gold, sc in next sc. (6)

Rw 2: Ch 1, turn; working in back loops only, sc in next 8 sc, leave remaining sc unworked. (8)
Rw 3: Ch 1, turn; sc2tog, sc in next 4 sc, sc2tog. (6)
Rw 4: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across. (6)
Rw 5: Ch 1, turn; sc2tog, sc in next 2 sc, sc2tog. (4)

Attach black to foundation ch of BIKINI BOTTOMS directly above where Rw 17 is sewn to Rw 1, ch 5, slip st in side of BODY, ch 5, slip st in first ch of foundation ch, ch 8, slip st in foundation ch directly above last sc of Rw 2 of BIKINI BOTTOMS, ch 5, slip st in the side of BODY, ch 5, slip st in foundation ch directly above where Rw 17 is sewn to Rw 1. Finish off. Weave in ends.

BIKINI BOTTOMS SIDE CHAINS (MAKE 2):
Holding 2 strands of black together, ch 15. Finish off leaving a long tail. Sew BIKINI BOTTOMS SIDE CHAINS to BIKINI BOTTOMS. Weave in ends.

BELT BUCKLE:
Rd 1: With yellow crochet cotton and Size 6 crochet hook, ch 3, 2 sc in second ch from hook, 4 sc in next ch working around ch, working in free loops of foundation ch, 2 sc in next ch. (8)

Finish off. leaving a long tail. Using black embroidery floss, embroider eyes on BELT BUCKLE. Sew BELT BUCKLE to BIKINI BOTTOMS. Weave in ends.

BOOTS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With red, ch 6, 2 sc in second ch from hook, sc in next 3 ch, 3 sc in next ch working around ch, working in free loops of foundation ch, sc in next 4 ch. (12)
Rd 2: (3 sc in next sc, sc in next 5 sc) around. (16)
Rd 3: Working in back loops only, sc in each sc around. (16)
Rd 4: sc in each sc around. (16) Change to black.
Rd 5: Working in back loops only, sc in each sc around. (16)

BOOT WRAPS (MAKE 2):
Attach red in Rw 6 of BOOTS over where it was sewn closed, ch 18, wrap around BOOT, slip st in same spot as attachment, ch 22, wrap around BOOT, slip st in the side of Rw 16 where it was sewn closed, ch 22, wrap around BOOT, slip st in same spot as last slip st, ch 22, wrap around BOOT, slip st in same spot as original attachment. Finish off. Weave in ends.

DRILL:
Rd 1: With gold, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook working around ch. (4)
Rd 2: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (6) Change to gray.
Rd 3: sc in each sc around. (6)
STUFF DRILL FIRMLY.
Rd 4: Working in back loops only, sc in each sc around. (6)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Weave tail through sc of Rd 4, pull tightly and secure. Weave in ends.

DRILL CHAIN:
Attach gray to Rd 4 of DRILL, ch 10, slip st in right BOOT. Finish off. Weave in ends.

LEG BELT:
Rw 1: With black, ch 18, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across. (16)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Using gold, embroider buckle on LEG BELT. Wrap around left LEG and sew together. Weave in ends.

GUNS (MAKE 2):
Rw 1: With black, ch 8, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across. (7)
Rws 2-3: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across. (7)
Rw 4: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across, ch 10, slip st in first sc of Rw 4.
Rw 5: Ch 1, sc in next 4 sc, working in free loops of foundation ch, sc in fourth ch, sc in next 3 ch. (8)
Rws 6-10: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across. (8) Change to gray after Rw 10.
Rws 11-12: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across. (8)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Using gray, sew Rw 11-12 together. Using red, sew Rws 5-10 together. Insert pieces of wooden skewer. Using black, sew remaining sc of Rw 4 to foundation ch and top end of Rws 1-4 closed.

GUN HANDLE CAP (DONE ON BOTH GUNS):
Rw 1: Working in the side of Rws 1-4, attach gray, ch 1, sc in next 4 Rws. (4)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Sew GUN HANDLE CAP closed. Weave in ends.

GUN WRAPS (MAKE 2):
Rw 1: With gold, ch 9, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across. (8)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Wrap around GUN and sew on each side. Weave in ends.
