HARRY POTTER'S WAND

This is a pattern for Harry Potter’s wand from the movies.  This has been a project that I have been putting off for months now.  I finally broke down and made it because we are having a Harry Potter day at work.

MATERIALS:
Worsted Weight Yarn: Charcoal and coffee.
E crochet hook
Polyester Fiberfill
Wooden dowel
Tapestry needle

HANDLE:
Rd 1: With charcoal, 6 sc in magic ring.  (6)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.  (12)
Rd 3: Working in back loops only, sc in next 9 sc, working in front loops only, (hdc, dc, hdc, slip st) in next sc, working in back loops only, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc.
Rd 4: Working in front loops only, (Bubble st in next sc, sc in next 2 sc) 3 times, skip 3 sts, sc in next 3 sc.
Rd 5: Working in back loops of Rd 3, sc in each sc around.  (12)
Rds 6-7: sc in each sc around.  (12)
Rd 8: Working in front loops only, (Bubble st in next sc, sc in next 2 sc) 3 times, sc in next 3 sc.
Rd 9: Working in back loops of Rd 7, sc in each sc around.  (12)
Rds 10-13: sc in each sc around.  (12)
Rds 14-16: Working in back loops only, sc in each sc around.  (12)
Rd 17: Working in front loops only, bubble st in next sc, working in both loops, sc in next 11 sc, working in back loop behind bubble st, sc in next sc
Rds 18-20: Working in back loops only, sc in each sc around.  (12)
Rds 21-22: sc in each sc around.  (12)
Rd 23: Working in front loops only, (sc, ch 1) in each sc around.
Finish off.  Weave in ends.  Stuff HANDLE firmly around wooden dowel.

WAND:
Rd 1: Working in back loops of Rd 22 of HANDLE, attach coffee, sc in each sc around.  (12)
CONTINUE STUFFING WAND AROUND WOODEN DOWEL AS YOU GO ALONG
Rd 2: (sc in next sc, sc2tog) around.  (8)
Rds 3-12: sc in each sc around.  (8)
Rd 13: (sc in next 2 sc, sc2tog) around.  (6)
Rds 14-33: sc in each sc around.  (6)
Rd 34: sc2tog around.  (3)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Weave tail through sc of Rd 34, pull tightly and secure.  Weave in ends.
