SNOWMAN

This is the Snowman that I designed to go with a Merry Christmas Sign that my wife painted.

MATERIALS:
Worsted weight yarn: White, black, orange, and red.
F crochet hook
Tapestry needle
Glue
2 brown chenille stems

BODY 1:
Rd 1: With light white, 8 sc in magic ring, slip st in first sc. (8)
Rd 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in each sc around, slip st in first sc. (16)
Rd 3: Ch 1, (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around, slip st in first sc. (24)
Rd 4: Ch 1, (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around, slip st in first sc. (32)
Rd 5: Ch 1, (sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around, slip st in first sc. (40)
Rd 6: Ch 1, (sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around, slip st in first sc. (48)
Finish off. Weave in ends.

BODY 2:
Rd 1: With white, 8 sc in magic ring, slip st in first sc. (8)
Rd 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in each sc around, slip st in first sc. (16)
Rd 3: Ch 1, (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around, slip st in first sc. (24)
Rd 4: Ch 1, (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around, slip st in first sc. (32)
Rd 5: Ch 1, (sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around, slip st in first sc. (40)
Finish off. Weave in ends.

BODY 3:
Rd 1: With white, 8 sc in magic ring, slip st in first sc. (8)
Rd 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in each sc around, slip st in first sc. (16)
Rd 3: Ch 1, (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around, slip st in first sc. (24)
Rd 4: Ch 1, (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around, slip st in first sc. (32)
Finish off. Weave in ends. Glue BODY pieces together.

FACE AND BUTTONS:
Using black, embroider the eyes and mouth on BODY 3. Using orange, embroider the carrot nose on BODY 3. Using black, embroider the buttons on BODY 2.

SANTA HAT:
Rd 1: With white, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook working around ch, slip st in first sc changing to red.
Rw 2: Ch 1, sc in next 2 sc. (2)
Rw 3: Ch 1, turn; sc in next sc, hdc in next sc. (2)
Rw 4: Ch 1, turn; hdc in next st, 2 sc in next sc. (3)
Rw 5: Ch 1, turn; sc in next sc, hdc in next sc, dc in next sc. (3)
Rw 6: Ch 2, turn; dc in next st, sc in next 2 sts. (3)
Rw 7: Ch 1, turn; sc in next 2 sc, dc in next dc. (3)
Rw 8: Ch 2, turn; 2 dc in next dc, sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc. (5)
Rw 9: Ch 1, turn; 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc, dc in next st, 2 dc in next st. (7)
Rw 10: Ch 1, turn; 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc. (9) Change to white.
Rw 11: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across. (9)
Rw 12: Ch 1, turn; working over sc of Rw 11, sc over each sc across. (9)
Finish off. Weave in ends. Glue SANTA HAT to BODY 3.

ARMS:
Use brown chenille stems to create ARMS. Attach ARMS to BODY 2.
