TOOTHLESS KEYCHAIN

Another request from my daughter. She is obsessed with everything mythical, especially Unicorns and Dragons. This keychain is the head of Toothless from How to Train Your Dragon.

MATERIALS:
Worsted Weight Yarn: Black and spring green.
B crochet hook
Polyester Fiberfil
Tapestry needle
Keyring Clasp

HEAD PIECES (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With black, 6 sc in magic ring. (6)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around. (12)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (18)
Rd 4: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (24)
Rd 5: (sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (30)
Rd 6: (sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (36)
Rd 7: sc in each sc around. (36)
NOW WORKING IN ROWS.
Rw 8: sc in next 4 sc, slip st in next sc. (4)
Rw 9: Ch 1, turn; skip next slip st, sc in next 9 sc, slip st in next sc. (9)
Rw 10: Ch 1, turn; skip next slip st, sc in next 5 sc, slip st in next sc. (5)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Sew HEAD PIECES together stuffing firmly before closing. Weave in ends.

EYES (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With spring green, 6 sc in magic ring. (6)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around. (12)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Sew EYES to HEAD. Weave in ends.

PUPILS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With black, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook working around ch. (4)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Sew PUPILS to EYES. Weave in ends.

EARS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With black, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook working around ch. (4)
Rd 2: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (6)
Rds 3-7: sc in each sc around. (6)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Flatten and sew EARS to HEAD. Weave in ends.

BETWEEN EAR SPIKES:
Rw 1: With black, ch 4, sc in second ch from hook, sc in next ch, hdc in next ch. (3)
Rw 2: Ch 4, sc in second ch from hook, sc in next ch, hdc in next ch. (3)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Sew to HEAD between EARS. Weave in ends.

SIDE SPIKES (MAKE 2):
Rw 1: With black, ch 3, sc in second ch from hook, sc in next ch. (2)
Rw 2: Ch 4, sc in second ch from hook, sc in next ch, hdc in next ch. (3)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Sew SIDE SPIKES to each side of EARS with Rw 2 against EARS. Weave in ends.
